So results..Other wins by 1 percent over Legacy and us rest that wanting Romulan War slash Birth of the Federation movie got Bronze 3rd Place

Garret Rachel 4th and Young Picard Stargazer in finish slot...they each have some vana but yea interesting results

A Dax series could cover all of the above.

- S1/S2 Lela (Romulan War/Birth of the Federation)
- S3/S4 Curzon (early days of the Stargazer, the rise of Garrett, Young Sisko, even immediate events before and after TUC)
- S5/ Ezri (post 2401 Frontier Day takeover)
A surprisingly good idea! The Lives of Dax is one of the best Pocket Books and it has a great mix of new stories and call backs, especially the walk-on appearance of a young Leonard McCoy and answering the questions posed by Conspiracy.

I wonder how a series about civilian explorers outside of Starfleet proper would do? Something like the Hanson’s with hopefully better luck, using a Raven-type ship or something similar?

Wouldn't that feel a little too much like Lost in Space?

Everyone would just complain "when are we going to see Starfleet?" like they did during Picard's first season.
The fact that our main characters were on the outside of Starfleet looking in was one of my favorite parts of Picard season 1. Starfleet was still a "character" in the story, but we were seeing it from a different perspective, which felt fresh.

The inherent problem with a Star Trek anthology-type show is that every time period is just going to look like DSC, because that's the production values that the current producers use. That's why that crap Section 31 movie, while talking place in the 2330's, looked like it took place in the 2250's of DSC (or the 2400's of PIC, for that matter.)

That would be an easy mistake for them to make. Hopefully they'd keep up SNW's record of updating a previous era's asthetic without losing the feel of different time periods.

But it sounds like you think S31 fails as that. It probably does. If I ever get through that god awful opening exposition and actually watch the film, I'll see for myself

Other wins by 1 percent meaning we may share 'other' which could be an empty deal(nothing at all) opting for diversity with no answers...is there even a followup about this thread...hope so...but yea legacy and romulan war birth of federation at least promise something of the sort in trek this poll was a decent idea just the results backfired giving the option to choose neither of the real possibilities

I worked out my ideal series, but most of you would probably HATE the idea!

STAR TREK: TEMPORAL FRONTIER

Inspired by VOY: Relativity, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Star Trek Online: Agents of Yesterday

The late 27th Century. A group of rogue Starfleet officers with unbelievable time travel technology, THE LIBERATORS, threatens to alter history - not knowin the unfathomable damage it can cause,. The Federation are losing a war. The Kingon Chancellor saw joining as a weakness.

Captain Malcolm Gregson (Paul McGann--that's right, a Star Trek time travel show led by Doctor Who!!) commands the Meridian-class USS GALILEO NCC-100966, Starfleet's first timeship. He pulls together some of Starfleet's finest officers from the past to complete missions throughout the timeline.

One is known to have a terrible fate, two are starcrossed lovers, and another holds a terrible secret...

=============

So we can go full fanboy and visit events and episodes from Trek's past, and introduce new areas to the timeline we've only heard about
