I admit I don’t really understand the continuing interest in the Romulan War — which I used to share, but that was at least three onscreen Trek-universe wars ago. One smart thing Babylon 5 did was to imply everything we needed to know about at least two wars that happened after the main run of the show — the Telepath War and the Drakh War — without ever having to portray them.
Entirely true. Not to mention that any portrayal of the Romulan War produced now will just look like any generic space battle that we would have seen in DSC/SNW/PIC.
So specific and binary.I basically want a limited series featuring the return of Sisko and the Dominion. Or nothing frankly.
A reboot.
I would like is something set a century after the Dominion War. With no Romulan Supernova, and no Star Trek Online, no Star Trek Picard being considered part of this Universe.
My POV is that anything set after DS9 is non-canon, and it would be a nice, fresh, blank start. The Dominion War is a century ago. Our loved characters are now historical figures.
Now, a century later, the name Enterprise hasn't been used in nearly a century now. It's time for a new crew. A new ship. NCC-1701 F now begins its 5 year journey to the far reaches of the Galaxy, past the borders of the Federation, beyond all known Space.
The Dominion remains elusive. Nearly a century after the war has ended, they've been more or less been playing the same role the Romulans have had in the beginning of DS9.
The Cardassians are now allies of the Federation, with the new Enterprise being a joint creation between the Federation and the Cardassians, with a Cardassian Captain.
The Klingons and Romulans are at peace with eachother and the Federation.
Use Kacey Rohl as Rachel Garrett so something good will have come from Section 31.not necessarily young picard, as have had enough picard for a lifetime, but a lost era series would be good.
