I chose "The Star Wars Trilogy". I didn't choose any others, because while most of them are good to very good, all of them have a fatal flaw (IMO of course) somewhere along the way. Plus, you forgot the Indiana Jones trilogy (technically a tetra but you included SW which is a hexalogy), which would have been my second choice.
The Godfather trilogy. No contest. The first 2 films are brilliant. The third isn't quite their level but it still closes the story arch beautifully. Good story, excellent characters, good acting (although Pacino does ham it up a bit by III). What's not to like. It's a story that feels larger than life.
This. For me, Fellowship felt at the time like it was a higher form of life than other movies.
There's four of those!
For me, it's LOTR. They're the finest cinematic achievements ever, in my opinion.

In all honesty, there are six Star Wars ones and four Pirates ones. So, yeah, where's Indy?
For me, the top pick goes to The Lord of the Rings. Simply the best, ever. No contest.

I guess it depends on how we are defining trilogy. Are we going with the standard "collection of three" or the "one story told over three movies"? If it is the former, we can cheat and include things like Indy. If the latter, there really wasn't a continuous story, but rather three unrelated adventures (like Bond films).

If ya are goin' to pick & choose which franchise of films with more than three movies counts as a trilogy, ya might as well have Star Trek, Superman, Batman, James Bond, Mission: Impossible, Scream & others in the poll, though.
Indy had four movies, as did Pirates. And Star Wars has six (seven, if ya want to count the theatrical release of the Clone Wars premiere).

You could argue that Black Pearl/Dead Man's Chest/At World's End are a trilogy because the latter two films tell one ongoing story and build upon elements established in the first one, just like the Star Wars OT and Back to the Future. Just because there's a fourth movie, that doesn't suddenly mean that the first three films are no longer a trilogy. The Indiana Jones movies don't qualify because they're all separate adventures featuring different storylines and locales.
