Which actors would you have liked to see in Star Trek

Fran Drescher as a Betazoid
Funny enough when I first started to watch TNG, Deanna's looks reminded me Fran during her "The Nanny" days. Both very beautiful women.
Which is exactly why I suggested it ;). Also the interaction between Fran and Sylvia on the Nanny is sorta like a more humorous version of Deanna and Lwaxana.

Fran could have played a cousin of Deanna in an episode that really delves into Betazoid culture.

Nathan Fillion as an alien police officer chasing a fugitive. Be great on DS9 to have him go up against Sisko.

^ I wouldn't have minded Fillion showing up in some form on Trek, although I'm wondering how the Browncoats would take that kind of news.

It would've been awesome if Fairuza Balk had gotten to star in an episode of -ENTERPRISE-, let's say.

Tom Baker as a Q and, possibly, rival for Troi's heart.

Julian Sands as Vedek Bareil.

Mandy Patinkin as a Cardassian, perhaps a sibling to either Garak or Dukat.

Lynda Carter as a Trill.

Alison Janney: Recently saw her in the Melissa McCarthy movie and I was thinking she would make a hardass Starfleet admiral.
Dania Ramirez
Dennis Quaid
Timothy Dalton
Colin Salmon
Chiwetel Ejiofor

Christopher Lee.

And his career was long enough that he could've appeared in any of the shows or movies!

And, honestly, he did eps of "The Avengers" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" back in the sixties, so a TOS appearance would not have been beyond the bounds of possibility.

My Ensign ranking will not let me yet send private messages so this is the only way I know of to contact you Gregg, I loved your novel of 7 of 9 meeting TOS Kirk. Do you plan on any more cross over novels? Like writing one where he could be brought back?

You can maybe private message me but I am unable to do so to you.

There is a No Time Like The Past thread in the Literature forum, maybe it is helpful for you.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed No Time Like the Past!

I have a few Trek irons in the fire at the moment, but the only I can really talk about at this point is Child of Two Worlds, a novel coming out in November. It's not a crossover with the later shows, but heads the other direction instead; it's a novel about the young Spock serving under Captain Christopher Pike.

And, of course, there was Foul Deeds Will Rise, which is a movie-era novel that came out a while ago.

William Daniels (as an EMH/LMH)
Will Estes (as a Starfleet cadet)
Jennifer Garner (as an engineer or young security officer)
Mariska Hargitay (an ideal first officer)
Stana Katic (as a science officer)
Christopher Lee (a wizened Klingon warrior)
Ian McKellen (as Walker Keel)
Tamara Tunie (as a starship CMO)
Michael Vartan (as a Section 31 operative)

I would have seen Sir Christopher Lee as a Vulcan more than a Klingon. Just imagine that deep sonorous voice and the slow cadence of a Vulcan ambassador or high priest.
