They were in the film, but got cut out as Abrams felt it confused the plot.

That'd be great, only I'm just barely keeping up as is. Fortunately, we do have really nice forum- and thread-searching capabilities as part of the vBulletin software.

It didn't matter, we don't see Klingons in this movie. Just their ships in the Kobayashi Maru test.

As far as I know part of that deleted footage can be seen in one of the trailers. There the Klingons wear helmets, so you can't tell. But I'd suspect that's the way we see them in all their scenes. And personally, I love that idea.

Its been sometime since I saw the Enterprise episode, but if memory serves, not all Klingons suffered from the disease that cauesd the smooth heads in Klingons. I won't mind seeing some Klingons with ridged heads so as long as its not Kang, Koloth, or Kor, cause they haven't been cured yet.

I'm sure it'll be in the deleted scenes on the DVD. Looked like a neat scene from the trailer.

Just a quick question (and I apologise if this has already been covered buried in another thread).
Do the Klingons make an appearence in this film? I was getting lunch at Burger-Thing today and saw the happy meal Klingon 'Warbird). Considering how the other known ships and looking at the Klingon it looked like it could be a cool ship.
I know people had emntioned that the Rura-Pente scenes had been reduced/clipped from the theatrical release but others have said the Klingon Warbird is still in the film.
Is it? Does it look cool? Does it actually do something or is it a throw away background ship?
I will be seeing the film next week but I am just curious about the fate of this design.

Some warbirds appear in the Kobayashi Maru scene, but no Klingons themselves on screen.

I don't really care about the Klingon (Actors) but the ships look like they could be a cool retake on the classic design. I am more interested in the hardware aspects than the people paid to read lines in front of it.

The Klingon "Warbirds" were onscreen for just a small moment, but they were instantly recognisable as slightly tweaked battle cruisers!

The helmets seen in the trailer have bumps that would nicely fit the TMP-style bumps...
