Where do you find the time to watch everything?

It just seems like there is more and more things to watch and less and less time to watch them. Before I had time to rewatch shows I liked but now I have to think about what I have to watch next. Every time I talk to someone it's "you have to watch this, have you seen this show yet?" and it's at least 5 seasons worth of episodes per series. I'm not a binger, I don't have time to binge. On top of movies I want to watch and the lifestyle I lead it feels impossible to watch all these "amazing shows".

How does everyone else here handle this binge culture?

Which smartass answer would you like? :D

1. Winter in New England.
2. Find more interesting people to talk to.

I don't bother. I'm too busy working and living life. I watch what I can when I can and don't worry about keeping up with what others watch.

This. I watch what I want, when I can. Because there are so many good shows, there has to be something special that attracts me to it. I don't give a rat's ass what others are watching -- only what I'm interested in.

I don't; that's why I'm so behind in everything! ;)

If the stars align, I can sometimes get a couple episodes of something in on Friday, and sometimes another couple on Saturday. That's it for the week. The only exception is when Discovery is airing, which I make an effort to see regardless, even though the Thursday night episodes in season 2 messed my schedule up something awful.

And if there's a movie I want to see instead, well, that has to take the place of a couple episodes, so maybe no television shows at all that week.

As far as re-watching shows goes, I watch them while playing a game like Skyrim. When I just need to turn my brain off for an hour or two, I have Star Trek open on my laptop and some video game I'm very familiar with up on the TV.
For new shows, I watch them with my partner or house-mates. Usually one or two episodes a night over dinner. Sometimes I'll binge watch a show in just a few days (like when a new Discovery season comes out.) Also, especially during the winter, I lay on the couch (totally not hungover) and watch shows all day, a good lazy day.

There's a lot of shows I skip out on, that I would probably love if I gave them a chance, because I just don't have the time yet. I figure that if I have the time in the future, I'll go back and watch if it's really that great. I also try to stick to just two or three streaming services at a time. Currently I have Netflix and CBS All Access, and will soon have Disney+. I'm sure there's great content on Hulu or Amazon or HBO or whatever else is out there, but I just don't have the time for it right now.

There is no time. My wife and I watch something new every night and there is still an endless list of TV.

Short answer: I don't

At least not anymore. Years ago i was a pretty heavy watcher to a degree i needed 2-3 hours a day to keep up with the shows i watched and at one point i realized it simply was too much so i started cutting.

Some shows simply ended on their own, others i really eavaluated and then cut mostly because they were not as good as when the started (Castle was one such example).

I'm now down to about 3 regular shows i watch and some Netflix/Amazon Prime shows but which usually only contain between 8-10 episodes per season so that's a very lazy weekend.

Much of what's aired nowadays in regular broadcasting simply is not that interesting to me anymore so i'm good.

You can't. We've actually reached the point where it's impossible to watch all the genre shows, let alone other stuff.

That's one good thing about Netflix canceling so many of their shows lately - as those end, I find myself having more time to start other shows. Except those shows are often on other services/networks, so that's probably not what Netflix was going for.

DVR. I do a lot of weekend catch-up. Once I get ~four episodes behind on a show, I delete the recordings and stop recording the show (Obviously, it wasn't that interesting to me, anymore.) This was the fate of Arrow and Elementary. Latest victim was the Outpost. I have the last two episodes of Killjoys, which I plan to watch only because it is the finale, otherwise, it would have the next victim.
