I've watched every episode thus far.
Where, exactly, did the Lt. Scott/Chloe Armstrong relationship come from?
Did I miss some vital scene somehow?
More importantly, why oh why did they have to go that route?
I mean, gods forbid the everyman math-boy geek genius have a shot in hell with the hot chick, right? Noooo, we can't have that. The strapping young Lieutenant who in the pilot was boning some other military chick, he's got to get the girl. That's the cliche, right?
The fact that they even included a character like Eli gave me such hope. The fact they didn't make him a total puss idiot gave me even more hope. Thus far, he's been written with the right balance of things I think. He's coping better than most civilians, it seems, but he's also not a trained soldier, so he's not perfect either.
Last week they make it pretty obvious he's developing a crush on Chloe, and then... randomly... they have her screwing Lt. Scott?!

They couldn't have just left things open for a season? They had to pair up two of the hot people right away, right?
