When Voyager goes bad... [topic split]

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

You know what that movie was missing?

A young Terri Gar.

Of all the shit they did wrong, not asking Gary 7 for help was at the top of the list.

Although...

Before these guys, the Vulcan science directorate had determined that time travel was impossible, so no wonder they were a little bassaackwards about a few things, since survival training was still about the raw cadets being dumped in the Australian outback and told that if they don't make love to the roos at night, then they'll all die of exposure.

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

Terri Garr was my first Trek girl crush.

I wonder who they would get to play Roberta now.. they could really frak it up if they wanted to :(

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

25 years old famous hollywood actress + google = Jennifer Love Hewitt, Lindsay lohen, Megan Fox and Cameran Diaz.

Google is awful.

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

Oh, I love her.

She's really not pretty enough, but then you spend some time with her and she's just so amazing that your standards shift in her direction... Which is exactly how I feel about Margot Kidder at the beginning of the Superman movies.

She had a substantial effect on Kyle XY too.

I'm so seeing her as Roberta now, especially as she will be a bit older once they finally realize that NuTrek NEEDS Gary 7 and Roberta.

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

So now we need some one that looks like a Caveman.

Adam Baldwin?

Nick Nolte?

ben Browder?

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

Definitely Nick Nolte, with a side order of Richard Kiel and The Kurgon (Clancy Brown).

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

Yyyyyess?

SEVEN: Computer, I caution you. I have little love for Beta Five snobbery. Override. All right. Agents are male and female, descendants of human ancestors taken from Earth approximately six thousand years ago. They're the product of generations of training for this mission. Problem. Earth technology and science have progressed faster than political and social knowledge. Purpose of mission. To prevent Earth's civilisation from destroying itself before it can mature into a peaceful society.
Maybe not Neanderthal, but certainly a bit more like a monkey than some one from the 23rd century.

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

But they took them 6000 years ago. Even assuming mankind was more monkeylike back then the agents have been evolving on the alien planet all of this time, the agents are "descendants".

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

Gary 7.

We're not assuming that he's 7th generation?

7 generations in 6 thousand years.

In 4 thousand BC when their grampies were taken, a generation was less than half a decade. Squeeze a kid out when you're 12, and dead by 22... Unless you had money of course.

Socrates made it to 70, but that was 3 and a half millennia later.

But the timelines sync up with what happened to flint from Requiem for Methuselah.

Gary 1 through 6 might still be alive.

Re: When Voyager goes bad...

True.

Also I remember now that I want Peter Weller to play Gary 7. The cat should get run over by a car though, it's just not going to work. And isn't Weller already going to be in ST:XII? So that might not work either :(

Weller pontificates from on high, it's how rednecks think god sounds like.

When the rest of us all know that God is an Englishman.
