When did Geordi find time for a family?

Well the thing is in the case of the Leah Brahams hologram is if she were declared a self aware living being then she would have rights as a individual that would be equal to Leah Brahams the human. So even though she looks like the human Brahams the human Brahams would have no say so as to what the holographic Brahams can do.

In fact we have sort of seen this with the EMH. If the EMH falls in love it means he should be able to love someone with sex even if Doctor Zimmerman had issues with that.

As for the porn stuff my theory has been that the computer can not recreate a 100% accurate representation of a real person. If you want you can make a Picard hologram that is naked but a naked holographic Picard would look nothing like a naked human Picard. Safeguards for privacy would be put in place which means at best is you can only create what amounts to a very detailed deepfake.

Generally speaking though future humans don't seem to have the same puritan type of feelings towards nudity that modern day people, or at least Americans tend to do. Even if they are conservative types for many issues they are basically hippies when it comes to that.

The reason why people felt uncomfortable with what Barclay was doing was he was recreating holograms of people he worked with. People he sees on a daily basis in the real world.

Quark had to Scan Kira with a holo scanner to get an accurate account of her genitals for a sex program, on an Deep Space Nine Meridian, in season 3.

Anyone can "say" that they are married when they are not actually married. It's called lying.

Zimmerman allowed his likeness to be used in perpetuity.

A self aware Hologram would tell Geordi to suck it, and they would leave him, because they are not the real Leah and there's a grating schism living up to his expectations to be some one else. Geordi would repeat this 200 times and then there would be two hundred almost sentient holograms running around with Leah's face who have had sex with Geordi once... Or he resets her program every time she tries to run.

By the end of Voyager, The Doctor did not have human rights.

In the Future time line where he did have human rights, Admiral Janeway nuked it, and they're all dead.

The Doctor is not sentient.

Whatever process makes emotional feebs think that the Doctor might be sentient, is unreplicatable.

Although Moriarty can flip a switch and Holograms are fully alive with souls that go to heaven.

I always assumed that holo-Leah was simply deleted once the real one discovered the truth. And that would be entirely proper, of course; unlike the EMH, holo-Leah is not sentient, just programmed to look and act that way.

The Season 7 EMH may have been sentient.

The Season one EMH definitely was not.

When did that change?

HoloLeah was programmed to react like fleshie-Leah, with no limitations.

That's Moriarty level overreach.

She's that entire ship, not a tiny program.

That's a lot of processing power working over fuck all data.

That is possible but we know how easy it was for Moriarty to become alive or even the EMH. It is very possible their has been a holographic holocaust going on with the Federations where lots of holograms have been created and have become self aware only to not be noticed as being that by the Federation.

You would think after the Moriarty situation the Federation would take a very serious look at what is actually going on with the holograms and if they are becoming more than fake people but actually real people depending on how well programmed they are.

The Federation needs a slave race to do all the scutwork they don't have time for.

They don't care.

Even I think that's an obscure reference.

Why?

That's who he should have been after if this episode wasn't upside down.

Using the hologram to boost his confidence and talent, so that he's man enough?

It's no different than cutting a hole in a water melon to figure out your sex tempo.
