We had real Fluffernutters back in those days, kid. Homemade from the berries of the wild Fluffernutter bush. Not this packaged, homogenized garbage they sell today. :scream:
Yeah, people these days don't know what they're missing.

I'm going to have to dodge out of this thread for a while, even though I've been enjoying it. I've normally got an extraordinarily strong stomach, but just the thought of Fluff...Fluffern...I can hardly bring myself to type it...Fluffernutter makes me queasy. It's so icky!

There. I'm better now.

I still put Fluff in Hot Chocolate sometimes, but I haven't had it in a sandwich in almost forty years.

Do those extra sour kalamata olive rolls create some kind of TARDIS effect between them?

MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.
I used to love the fried egg sandwich my Grandmother used to make.

Peanut butter & jelly.

I really like the sweet onion chicken teriyaki from Subway.:drool:

Yes I had to put in all those smilies.

Well, RJDiogenes, perhaps you should; it is still just as yummy. You could have it with your hot cocoa. Or if you felt silly you could make like a grown up and have it with a glass of wine. Since peanut butter is a protein, would that be red? Yeah, a nice Australian Shiraz, like Black Opal. I know they recommend the Pancetta-wrapped Tenderloin of Pork with it, but...

MMM the MLT. They're so perky...I love that. :)

My mom would make me fried egg sandwiches when I was little. Delicious.

How have I missed this thread!?!

I adore sandwiches of all kinds

a few favorites of mine include

A fried pork tenderloin sandwich
BLT, on toasted white bread.
a fully loaded cheeseburger

A good dirty chip shop steak sandwich, with onions, beetroot, a fried egg, lettuce, tomato and either tomato or BBQ sauce.

Every time I go to Subway I get a 6-inch turkey sandwich on white bread with provolone, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and honey mustard.

Elsewhere, if they've got a buffalo chicken sandwich, I'll totally get it. The one at Which Wich is pretty damn good, especially when you add ranch to it!

I think the term "sandwich" is used rather loosely in some parts of the world.

Venardhi, that sounds absolutely delicious!

I would call it a federation main meal with a small side order of bread though...

Nah, I wouldn't feel silly. I might give it a try; it might be a nice trip down memory lane....
