What's wrong with this picture?

Not really. We learn that there are 7 continents, and we learn the names of the 50 United States, but that's pretty much where it ends.

Like Chicago? Seriously. Many Americans can't name all of the fifty states.
True. I can if I look at a map, but I couldn't list all 50 off the top of my head. There's always one or two I'd forget...usually Delaware.

:(

Here is a couple of maps that might help people know where Tasmania is

Since two things I love are history and geography, the lack of knowledge of both history and geography make the food stealing bird in my avatar angry.

This one intrigues me.

Who decided where the top of the planet was? Moreso, who decided where the top of the solar system was? How do we know North is on top?
Lots of planets have a North. :bolian:
I know, but why does North go on top? How do we know the solar system isn't really sideways? :p

It could be argued that becuae heavy things tend to gravitate to the bottom and because the Northern Hemisphere has much more land mass than the South Hemisphere than the Northern Hemisphere should be on the bottom of the world.
