What's with the DVDs?

Sounds like you have some bootleg DVDs. I would report it to eBay and get your money back.
I got them fromAmazon.
But I've had them for a few years now.
They play much better on one of my DVD players than the other one.
I have been watching them on a tiny TV in my bedroom.
I just hate moving the players around.
I figure it's just more chance for something to get damaged.
I even bought a new, really cheap player and tried that one!
It's just too expensive to try to replace them.

I was just making a backup of my brand-new DS9 set (Amazon delivered it a couple of days ago) and noticed that, on at least one of the discs, you can see ring markings on its underside. The other discs don't have this. Not coincidentally, that disc took longer to copy and generated at least one error. The others seem fine, so far.

I'm sure Amazon will send me a replacement, but this is just a friendly reminder to check out your discs at least once when you receive them and before it's too late to ask for replacements.

:)^^^
Unless the disc was say, in pieces, I'd never notice snything wrong with it until the show messes up!
Yeah, I know - it's pretty hard to tell without watching every disc (or doing what I'm doing and making backups of them) if there's something wrong with them. I recommend at least doing a quick visual inspection of the underside of every disc for any scratches or other markings. They should be perfectly smooth. They can be perfectly smooth and still have something wrong with them, but at least this will catch some more obvious manufacturing problems.

Like years later noticing that the title says
"Take Me Our to the Holosuite".
I'm thinking that nobody has to get up early to pull one over on me!

I also have a complaint about the DVDs, though mine is slightly different from the OP but not worth starting a new thread over....
I finished watching Season 2, and then started in on the Special Features. Now, you'd think that the Season 2 Special Features would be limited to Seasons 1-2 content, right? I mean, it goes without saying. Imagine my surprise when I watched the "Crew Dossier: Jadzia Dax." Holy cow, that thing should be on the Season 6 Special Features or have major spoiler tags because it ruined everything! That featurette talked about Worf joining the crew, Jadzia's marriage to him, and then her death! I am not happy with the dummies over at Paramount or CBS or whoever put the DVD set together. Why would they do such a thoughtless thing???

THat's just nuts.... And before people say it's an older show, both my own girlfriend and one of our dearest friends are quite new to DS9. My girlfriend watched it for the first time several years ago, our dear friend only this year. That would have been a huge spoiler.

Wow.
I'll bet if you had my set, that part wouldn't play at all!
I might try to check that out tonight. How dumb could that be?
