Spoilers What's the craziest thing Trek has done?

When Wil Wheaton randomly came strolling towards Isa Briones / Kore in the PIC s2 finale with a goofy grin on his face, I was absolutely sure he was there to interview her on-the-spot for the Ready Room. In that moment, all I could see was the actors, not their characters. It was a brain jolt when it turned out to be anything other than that. :lol:

Ok, that was pretty nuts. But good to see Wesley make a return.

Something else kind of nuts... turning Voyager into a Christmas tree ornament.

On the contrary, I loved it. But I am going through a phase of loving ultra bleak stuff. And in the end...
They die so the TV versions can live
If I ever read it, I'll treat it like a Slasher Flick where I expect everyone to just get killed. And I'll listen to Rob Zombie playlist in the background.

Can I just put in "all the crazy stuff transporters do"?
* Split people.
* Fuse people.
* Send people to evil mirror universes.
* Turn people into kids.
* Render people immortal.
* Keep people in stasis for decades at a time.

You forgot one....
* Give people mental disorders....

Enterprise Season 3 finale cliffhanger, no question. The NX-01 saves the Earth and returns home in triumph, only to be inexplicably transported back in time to World War II, complete with Archer having been captured by a Nazi regiment led by an alien SS officer. Amazing, chef's kiss, no notes.

That was my BOBW cliffhanger: Propeller planes attacking the shuttle! :eek:

I'd also like to add "Magicks of Megas-Tu" to my original post. Best TAS episode. Most bonkers insane Trek episode ever. Magic exists is a universe accessed through a portal at the centre of the galaxy. Spock moves chess pieces with his mind, Kirk shoots rainbows and Satan himself isn't that bad of a fella.

That’s almost exaclty how ‪‪I described it to someone who’d never seen TAS last week. ‪‪I said that Kirk and Spock spent time hanging out with Satan, and learned he’s actually pretty cool.

Yeah, I just watched Magicks of Megas-Tu the other day, and... yeah. When Sulu creating a woman with the power of his mind which then turns into Lucifer isn't the weirdest thing to happen in a story, that story is plenty bonkers.

While I wouldn't say it's the craziest, TNG Phantasms sure is wacky, with Deanna being a cake, specifically a cellular peptide cake with mint frosting and Crusher drinking out of a straw coming out of Riker's head. But I always get a kick out of the scene where Freud lectures Picard on how to answer a phone, only for the coal miners to bust into the room and shoot Freud.
Nothing new there. TOS had that throughout it's entire run.
True, but I don't know, there's just something about the way Ned just shows up in a scene specifically to rant his head off and then leave immediately that just really enhances the crazy for that episode.

Well, there was the time Scotty developed a hatred of all women because one made a mistake, and the cure was to take him to a strip club - only for him to be possessed by Jack the Ripper…

Which makes me wonder about how female crewmen are viewed in the 23rd century. I mean, if we reverse the premise ('a female starfleet officer develops hatred for all men because one male crewman accidentally set off an explosion') that sounds bizarre (to me). And of course I understand this is probably because this was a 60's show, but still.
