what's next for Marvel (movies)?

If there is a Captain Marvel movie with Captain Marvel, at some point in the movie just to prove that Marvel are the most massive assholes EVER, she has to say "SHAZAM!"

Warners/DC has been passing on their move for some time. Not sure they are going to jump at Joss' promise.

We are getting Wanda(Scarlet Witch) in TA2, most likely Janet(Wasp) in Ant-Man and probably Sharon Carter in Cap2 as well and Gamora in GotG. That's 4 right there to add to Black Widow and Maria Hill. Could that be the promise in and of itself?

So who might Joss mean in addition then? Ms.Marvel? Spider-woman? Hellcat? Mockingbird?
We'll have to see if an actual film with a woman as the lead as opposed to a supporting character or love interest materializes. Captain Marvel seems like a natural choice for Marvel's "premier heroine".

We already got Supergirl and Catwoman from DC.

Was this here already?

"The people at Marvel are spending hours trying to think 'What'll we do next?' And there's a damn good chance that they will think just what you mentioned because it would be a great idea, and little by little, everything you want to see will come along because they're just like you. They're fans of the stories and are trying to think, 'What will the fans like to see next? What would we like to see next?' So they're working on Ant-Man, working on Doctor Strange; they're working on Guardians of the Galaxy; they're working on God knows what. Did I say the Black Panther also? They're the ones I know about."

I find the Ms./Captain Marvel conversation ironic, because I just saw two seperate articles in the last week about how one of the mystery movies should be a Carole Danvers movie.

I think there were talks a while back that Carol might be getting her own movie soon, so that's probably where most of the talks come from.

For me personally, Carol is my favorite Marvel character right now, and of course a lot of that is due to Kelly Sue DeConnick's terrific writing. In fact I love her writing so much I also picked up her other title "Avengers Assemble." Which is in fact really good, but that's getting away from the topic now.

If phase 3 is five movies, like phases 1 & 2, I'm not even sure we're getting any more new characters in addition to the ones we already know about:
1. Ant-Man
2. (probably) Doctor Strange
3. ?
4. ?
5. The Avengers 3

Chances are, unless one of those movies underperforms, they're going to want to make sequels to Thor 2 and Captain America 2, maybe even Guardians of the Galaxy. So unless they are doing more than five phase 3 movies or at least two of the upcoming phase 2 movies don't do well enough to warrant a sequel, we might not get a chance to see Captain Marvel, Black Panther, etc. until phase 4, unless they appear in some other character's movie first.

Marvel meeting today...

Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed...

P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen... you know I get tunnel vision with my work... and after that meeting today... wow!

I wonder what role Marvel wants to give him?

Meanwhile, DC Comic fans are screaming "WHERE IS OUR WONDER WOMAN MOVIE?!" at Warners.:p
Is it just me, or might WW fit much better into the MCU than whatever world MOS and its sequel may or may not be creating? I could totally see the Amazons making a first appearance in the present day, and Thor being all, "What, you didn't know they were there? Yeah, we've known about those recluses forever." :rommie:
