What you can deduce from these spoilers on the Dexter Season 4 finale?

Re: What you can deduce from these spoilers on the Dexter Season 4 fin

The amount of small things that Dexter never cleaned up from this season is so larg I hope the writers can handle it.

Anybody else notice it appears now that his dad isn't saying things that help him and from Dexter's memory, but rather now it appears his dad is becoming Dexter's dark side and saying what Dexter wants to hear?

I thought he was the Voice of Reason and saying what Dexter (and the audience) doesn't want to hear: that he can never have a normal life because of the potential for harm to himself and those in his life. I'd been thinking, "wow Harry is such a jerk" because of course I want to root for Dexter to have the same shot at happiness as everyone does but now it looks like sadly Harry was right. :(

In S1, we saw the tail end of what till then had been Dexter's "solution" - to be emotionally cut off from humanity. Despite his "I have no feelings" pose (and from the first it was obvious that it was just a pose), it was an untenable and unhappy existence, which of course he rebelled against more and more in S1 and by this season, he had become a distinctly different person. But now we see the "wisdom" of his earlier self-protections strategy.

They could do a very full two seasons as a wrap-up finagling a way for Dexter to find happiness while not negating the elements that led to the tragedy with Rita. He just has to thread a very narrow eye of the needle.

They never did clear up a very big thing from S2 - that LaGuerta knows Doakes couldn't have been the BHB. So that means another co-worker of hers is. Doesn't this bother her? For all she knows, it's the guy she just married!
