What would you want the plot of Star Trek 4 to be?

What I meant was that the Enterprise wouldn't beat up on an inferior ship. Using another ship as a punching bag is kind of against what we are shown Starfleet to be.

I didn't say anything about the enterprise attacking an inferior ship?

Adversary starship = bad guys/villian/antagonist (not inferior in comparison to the Ent-A).

Ent-A showcasing why it's the most advanced Fed starship.

Nothing inherently anti-Trek in that.

For example: Ent-A going 'hammer n tongs' at a stronger non-Fed starship, who is threatening planetary destruction, etc, etc - to show exactly why the Ent-A is the most advanced Federation vessel (as eluded to in Beyond).

But yeah - the Ent-A using an inferior starship as a punch bag, and unleashing on it, in the manner you are inferring, would be anti-Trek (but it's not what I was inferring).

:wtf: Edit: re-read my post again please...

@Tenacity , I shouldn't need to remind you that this is not the appropriate forum for bringing out real-world political axes to grind, but consider yourself reminded anyway.

If something can be reasonably discussed within the context of an actual or hypothetical Star Trek story, then there's room for it here. If it's going to be straight-up Whatabout-style clapback, with no regard whatsoever to Trek, then there are places where you can do that, and none of them are this forum.

Why wasn't that warning directed at both posters instead of just @Tenacity?

The person he quoted was the first poster to grind a political axe.

Hold everyone accountable in the same way according to the rules and not your personal bias.

Comments re: that to PM, please. You know the procedure.

Agree 100%

I read Hythlodeus post as political and found Tenacity's response funny

What I've always wanted:

An Alien style horror/suspense film where Enterprise comes across a derelict cube the slowly "comes online" over the course of the whole film. But never becomes fully operational.

Or maybe to break up the film a little, I have the cube discovered in the neutral zone, and the first part of the film is sort of a 'chase' with the Rommies. The second half of the film would leave Spock, Sulu and Uhura on the E to "negotiate" with the Rommies, while Kirk, Scotty, and Jaylah are aboard the cube fighting off awoken drones.

The borg.

I would also like for the film to feel very intense.

As much as I loved beyond. it did not have the intense atmosphere of the first two films.

I have a feeling this version of the film franchise is dead.
i think that notion has been throughly debated here and the verdict is:
O96Jj.gif

prolly.
