Title explains it all. I'm tired of the "bad guy wants revenge" plots. I was thinking something like the Doomsday machine, combined with the Guardian of Forever as a plot device to bring George Kirk back, as he's rumored to return. Dad Kirk and Son Kirk team up to stop the Doomsday Machine. Could be cool.

Unfortunately the writer The City on the edge of forever owns the rights to tge guardian and not sure how much he would be rent for a movie lol.....

Would be a great revival for sure

I want a well written script telling a story that reflects a current issue or potential issue. 1701A on 5 year mission still, visit at least 2 planets with a proper orbit shot and captains logs.

    Mystery, adventure, action for sure

    oh man too soon.

me, i want something that wraps up the kelvin timeline, even if i wouldn't want it to be the end of the series. i see kirk and dead dad (somehow), the enterprise and starfleet all teaming up with the klingons to defeat a new big bad. preferably a female big bad.

The Ent-A going 'hammer n' tongs' at another adversary starship (showcasing why it's an advanced class of fed vessel) and travelling through sections of space - difficult to traverse...

    Such battle!

something relevant. Star Trek's take on the refugee crisis and right wing populists using it as an excuse to seperate themselves from the Federation.

Or left wing extremists, breaking windows, starting fires and shouting down anyone they personally don't agree with.

In terms of plot, something entirely new. I think the strength of Beyond was that it had many callouts (especially to Enterprise) , but the plot did not revolve around them. That was the huge issue with Into Darkness. I think if they did another "let's take a new look at episode X" I'm not confident they would be able to pull it off. It's one thing for IDW to do it, but another thing for the movies.

Something new. And no re-reboot just to satisfy the people who aren't supporting the franchise anyway.

What I meant was that the Enterprise wouldn't beat up on an inferior ship. Using another ship as a punching bag is kind of against what we are shown Starfleet to be.
