I don't think Wahlberg's guy was called Taylor. Thank goodness. I like Wahlberg as an actor but Tim Burton's Apes sucked.
I would also like to play Dave Bowman in the "2001: A Space Odyssey" program and Col. George Taylor in the "Planet of the Apes" program.
Which one--the Charlton Heston Taylor, or the one in the remake?
I can see being an astronaut who goes through a psychedelic light show and emerges as a god-fetus, but where's the fun in getting shot in the throat, captured, caged, and hosed down naked by a bunch of apes?. . . Of course, there IS Nova.

The Charlton Heston Taylor, I hot-linked the title of film to its Internet Movie Database webpage to avoid any confusion. The remake did not have a Col. George Taylor in it. I hated the remake.
By the way Mr. Limborg, tell 7 of 9 I said hello the next time you see her in the collective.![]()

Ah...no promises.
See, it's like this: Miss Nine and I...well, we had a little..."falling out" when I dumped her for Ezri Dax.
Uh...removing all the colorful metaphors, the conversation went something along the lines of:
"So--I am to understand that you no longer find me sufficent to suit your requirements."
"Well, Seven, look. It's not you, see. It's--"
"You intend to explain that you prefer the company of Lt. Ezri Dax to mine?"
"Um...well--"
"It is clear that my previous methods have proven to be...unsuccesful. Nonetheless...you will be assimilated!"
"Now, wait a minute--"
"Resistance is futile, Rush Limborg."
"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!"
It's...a bit of a blank after that. Ezri had her work cut out for her, counseling me back to mental health.
Here's an idea I just thought of. Isn't it more likely that instead of living in houses and apartments, people would simply purchase their own holodecks and create whatever kind of home they wanted and live in that?
