What will we get this Summer?

More updated on Amazon.com.

The What's Past omnibus is listed now, as expected for August, and Amazon also lists a MMPB reprint of Foster's Star Trek novelization for September.

So, looks like:

May - Children Of Kings
June - nothing
July - SCE: Out Of The Cocoon
August - SCE: What's Past
September - Star Trek novelization MMPB
October - the Typhon Pact starts

Though, Amazon still has Seize The Fire listed as a November release and AFAIK we don't have a concrete date for the third Myriad Universes anthology, which should be coming out sometime around then too.

OK, let's start the concern trolling. :)

The Simon and Schuster site and amazon don't mention Heather Jarman or KRAD in the list of authors for SCE: What's Past. Hope they don't leave out the last two stories before the SCE relaunch.

^That's the TOS era book coming out in May. It's a story from Pike's time on the Enterprise. Spock is also in it. It deals with Orion traders I believe. It's by Dave Stern, AFAIK.

^No problem. I love Pike tales, and (I heard) that Mr. Stern's last book, Troublesome Minds (?) was great. I can't wait for May;)

Two questions:

1) Wasn't Peter David's next New Frontier TP originaly scheduled for June? Is that still on? Does it have a title yet?

2) I thought Children of Kings was scheduled for April and Unspoken Truth was for May. Did they get switched, or are my notes just wrong?

Many thanks. :)

1) Yeah, it's been delayed to early '11. That happened before the cancellation of the nuTrek novels.

2) They were; apparently, they've been switched, though amazon still doesn't have a cover for Unspoken Truth.

It also lists it as being the same book as the Wounds omnibus and both volumes of Remembrance of Things Past!

Thanks, Thrawn!

So far as I know, TP is still on the schedule, and no changes to release dates were mentioned. I spoke with Jaime last week after all of this came down, and she said we were still a go and that I should keep hacking away. :)

TP? Also, I'd like to see an omnibus of Slings and Arrows.

Don't be, took me a minute to figure it out as well.

I am happy we are getting the 2 SCE/COE Omnibus. I would love to see Slings and Arrows as well.

I'd love to see the PTB's go ahead with last years plan to
publish the Crucible trilogy as a hardbound collection.

While that would be cool, if they did it now, it would probably be TPB not hardcover. Pocket no longer seem to publish Trek books as Hardcover. This mention of Pocket reminds me of something I've been meaning to ask. When will the name be changing over to Gallery (I think that's it)? I know the catalog for the Abramsverse books were actually under the new name and not Pocket, so I'm assuming it must be coming up soon.

Wasn't there something in the original news about the restructuring that the Star Trek Line (among some others) would continue to be released under the Pocket Books banner, or am I misremembering that?

ETA: Found the original news, and it said this:

The other imprints in Pocket--Downtown Press, Karen Hunter Publishing, MTV Books, Star Trek, Threshold Edition, and WWE-- are unaffected by the move and will continued to be overseen by Burke and Ziccardi. Burke will also directly oversee Pocket's mass market operations.

Although rereading this now I'm not 100% if it means that the branding will remain unaffected, or the personnel handling them.
