What will MA do?

With the seemingly new Trek universe, what will the folks over at Memory Alpha do???

Will there be a separate website for this new stuff? Will they try to intricately and delicately explain everything as existing in the same universe?

Answers?

Well, I certainly hope they don't lose their cool.
We should send over a tray of sandwiches because they clearly have a lot of work to do!

They'll just have extra notations indicating that things come from the new movie(s). Sort of like they'll put (Mirror Universe) for the regular characters' counterparts.

They have the "original" memory-alpha.org.

They have memory-beta (startrek.wikia.com) for all nop-canon stuff.

If they are not able to reconcile AbramsTrek with memory-alpha --and I'm not saying they won't be able to; I won't know until I know more about (or see) the film -- then maybe they will create a "memory-gamma".

We are in the works of discussing how to handle the new info and how to integrate it into already existing (and possibly contradicting) articles. We've survived TOS-R, we'll also keep the cool for Star Trek '09 :)

It seems most likely that we're dealing with an alternate timeline, but MA also includes information about Yesterday's Enterprise and Year of Hell, so I imagine any data on Trek XI will get a "In Nero's altered timeline..." disclaimer.
