What ur favourite thing about star trek

I love the space battles, thats not the sole reason why I watch it but its one of the big reasons. 
The women from TOS.
I love that Star Trek offers an optimistic view of the future -- that is, we'll still be around hundreds of years from now.

The thing that drew me to Star Trek and why I am still drawn to it in my 30s, is the sense of adventure, wunderlust and exploration. The Enterprise is a vehicle for our imagination and a means for us to explore not only outward, but inward. When Trek is at its best, it does those things in spades.
The other thing that I enjoy about Trek is that it is a synthesis of all the sub-genres of science fiction; military sf, speculative fiction, hard sf, soft sf and space opera.

Actually, while Hitler certainly aimed to write and speak in Hochdeutsch, he needed folks like Rudolf Hess to edit his work and, while an inspired orator in presentation, wasn't as skilfull in sentence construction.
So I fail to see how the comparison to the Nazis has any revelance.

Anyway, my favourite thing is the show's blend of science fiction, action adventure, and philosophical issues. At its best, it can juggle all three very well.

William Shatner is my favorite 'thing' from Star Trek. Imminently watchable, that guy, even when his performance is sub-par.
Favorite thing about Trek: the long, complex backstory tying everything together that has been built up over eons.
Other favorite Trek things: Spock, DS9 (where I want to live), the Dominion, Andorian antennae, Andorian Imperial Guard uniforms (sexy!), Quark's bar, the blue color of Romulan ale, Starfleet priggishness, Vulcans when played by actors who know they're not robots, space rogues like Cyrano Jones (bring em back!), Cardassians, Trip Tucker NOT.DEAD, the way Starfleet HQ keeps moving to different locations in relation to Golden Gate Bridge, red-eyed Space Nazis in all their campy glory, Kira Nerys, Quark's Bar, General Martok and all Klingons whose sense of fun eclipses their tendency to bore the FRAK out of you with all that honor blah blah blah, the Mirror Universe when they're not going too far over the top with it, Romulans - who I hope to see live up to their potential someday, ENT's creative explanation for the discrepencies in Klingon foreheads, bright colors, beehive hairdo's, cube-shaped food and the rest of the classic 23rd C style, the communistic Federation economy they never actually talk about, tribbles, the Borg before they were wimped out (but it's never too late to dust em off and do em right!), Plain Simple Elim Garak, TOS music and sound effects (bring em back!) overachieving androids, murderous computers, deluded aliens who think they're gods, Sulu channelling D'Artagnon, and last and yeah, probably least: TrekBBS. :thumbsup:

I like the way the different versions of Star Trek reflect the age in which they were made.
i.e. TOS is a product of the 1960's, TAS and TMP are a product of the 1970's, TWOK through TFF and TNG S1 & 2 are a product of the 1980's, TNG S3-7, DS9 and VOY are a product of the 1990's, ENT is a product of the 2000's. I am very much looking forward to the latest interpretation of Star Trek on film in this respect.
