What The Hell Am I Watching And Why Won't I Turn It Off...?

A whole episode of Keeping Up with The Kardashians. No, I'm not proud.

My girlfriend likes them for some reason so I've seen more of that than I care to say.

The really odd thing? I kinda like Bruce Jenner. He seems like a down-to-Earth sort of guy.

And doesn't that make you feel sorry for him for marrying into that shit? I mean, it seems like the mom loves him, but look at the self-absorbed pirhannas he has for step-daughters.

I have, I hate to admit, watched more than a few episodes of Project Runway. I'm interested in clothes but know NOTHING about sewing or the fashion business. I'm interested in what the judges say, but I couldn't care less about the competition.

That's nothing to be ashamed of! In terms of reality shows, Project Runway is definitely in the top tier. It is a quality show.

This morning I watched an episode of the children's show Dinosaur Train. I really don't know why...but I learned a valuable lesson about how it's okay to be smaller than other dinosaurs, we are all unique in our own special way.

The theme song reels in the unsuspecting...

So true! I was about to change the channel but then they started singing about why there's a T-Rex in the family and I just couldn't look away.

Yep! Still, I try to avoid kids shows like that because I tend to overanalyze things, and with this I can't help thinking that when Buddy grows up and starts craving more meat than a couple fishies, the Pteranadon Family is f***ed.

Dancing With The Stars... I'm now hopelessly addicted to the show and wishing I was famous enough to be on it

help me Obi Wan!!!

I don't bother watching, I just wait for the best stuff to show up on YouTube. Turns out, Apolo Anton Ohno is responsible for most of the best stuff. :rommie: My faves:

Samba

Jive (sorry, couldn't find the dance only)

Freestyle (so cute! :D)
[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDGngSX_pVM[/yt]

Paso Doble (they made a mistake that they didn't repeat in the encore, but this has more verve than the encore, so I'm posting it instead)

And the best performance that doesn't involve Apolo - Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy :rommie:

I watched more of Spike's Deadliest Warrior: Vampires vs. Zombies than I care to admit.

PS,

vamps ftw
So what happens when a vampire feeds on a zombie?

Well, a zombie bite can turn a vamp into a zombie (that was the final twist ending on the Spike show), so I guess turnabout is fair play, both being dead and all, and a vampire can turn into a zombie, but I think the teen-girl-squeal-factor would be greatly impacted. ;)

Great thread!

I'm not sure why I am watching Colorado Rockies baseball. What started out as a great season, over 10 games above .500 in April, they are absolutely horrendous and it's painful to watch their games yet I can't stop watching them. Fortunately that will come to an end all by itself when the playoffs start.

Also, I watch a lot of stuff on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel, stuff that I know I will never make.

I seem unable to turn off Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab whenever I land on that channel. Most of the "Celebrities" I can't even identify, but I still get sucked in to their tales of addiction and woe.

It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The show has one joke, and I found myself up half-an-hour longer than was worthwhile last night. Why?

Good thing his expression is permanently set on suprise.

Intervention and/or Hoarders. I haven't watched them in a while but it's only because I don't have cable anymore.

Another show that comes to mind is Deal or No Deal because of it's high schadenfreude level.

Just think, you've got Broncos football games to fill the void. ;)
