What Systems do you play, and has this changed?

at the moment i play with me playstation 2 stil a few good games out there. i've just started playing a few games on my pc. the pc's not the best for games but have to see about gettin g any more .though soon i hope to get either a ps3 or an xbox 360 not sure which one to go for yet not too worried about movie playback yet so blueray v hd isnt really an issue, may need to dig up so info on which consul is the better value for money

I was an avid PC gamer since the days of the C-64
October 2006 I bought my 360 and haven't touched a PC game since.
I am now up to over 70 XBox 360 games and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
This year alone I still have my eye on at least 10-12 more titles.

For me I primarily play games on the 360 these days, the Wii is secondary, and every once in a while I get the urge to play TIE Fighter or Civ 4 on the PC. At this stage 90+% of my gaming is done on console, and I haven't bought a new PC game since Civ 4- Beyond the Sword expansion came out. Don't forsee buying any either in the near future, only console games.

So PC games dominated my time until the X-Box (Knights of the Old Republic is what got me to buy) and from there it was a steady slide due to graphics cards/drivers/settings on my 1.8 and even with the more powerful computer that could play some of the games that were marginal, I just have a box of them in a closet at this point.

Console wise i went:
Odyssey, Snes, PS1, N64, Ps2, Gamecube, PS3, Wii...
PS3 is European launch model with backwards compatibility and i do play PS2 games on it...

C=64, Amiga 500+, Amiga 1200, PC, PC, PC...
Handhelds:
Original brick gameboy, GBA, PSP, NDS...

And my wife has a little pink DS Lite I play the occasional game on.
I usually only play 1 or 2 consoles at a time, then sell them or trade them for other ones. I work 50-60 hours a week and when I get home I don't like to move much, playing games is a good way to kill 1-2 hours a day before I go to bed or whatever. I don't buy many game, I usually just rent them and beat them. The exception would be a good racing game or fighter that has a lot of replay value like Forza 2 or VF5.
And since the 80s I've always had an x86 computer of varying capabilities. I've played a lot of PC games but it's usually a few years after they come out when I can get a cheap copy and my computer is actually powerful enough to play them.
My favorite genres are FPS, action, RPG and fighting games, though I'll play anything that looks like it might be fun.

I play the XBOX 360 exclusively. My computer is old so games dont play great on it.
Well, let's see: Atari 2600 and NES in my youth, some N64 and PS1/2 belonging to friends from time to time over the years, and a Gamecube and Xbox of my own more recently. Still play the Xbox a lot; the Gamecube, not so much (though I do keep telling myself I'm gonna have to go on a Rogue Squadron 2/3 jag one of these days soon).

I've been getting that constantly for 2 years and my 360 has since gone on to conquer Bioshock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4... I'm not really sure what the problem is, but after restarting my 360 it runs fine. The sky isn't falling just yet.
I've always been a pc gamer for the most part but I still own all three consoles that I bought over the years.

The first system that I owned was the Nintendo with my brother as a Christmas present from Santa. We wore it out until it did not play anymore but I had a friend give me a perfect one a few years ago that I still play at times. My brother and I then got a Super Nintendo for Christmas when it came out. For some reason we did not get as many games for it but I still have it and love to find good games for it to play. We then had a Sega Genesis with the 32X but it really did not catch on at the house. When I went to college, I bought a Playstation and had a blast in the dorm with it. After college, I finally bought a Nintendo64 but rarely played it since I did not have other people to play with it on. When I started working residential, I did not have the time to play games due to the excessive amount of time that I was at work. I finally bought a Playstation 2 a couple of years ago a when I quit residential and sold my Playstation but kept the games. I bought a used Game Boy Color and some games to have in the car but upgraded to a Nintendo DS and absolutely love it. I play it a lot. I also bought a Nintendo Wii and my wife and I play it at times. She is not a gamer but loves WiiSports and Mario Kart Wii.
