What Star Trek episodes or films have you been watching lately?

"The Cage"
"Where No Man Has Gone Before"

Both still excellent after all these years...

Tonight:

"The Corbomite Maneuver" and "The Man Trap"

Probably gonna skip that whole "Charlie X" one...

Couldn't get past the kid's acting. Pretty awful.

And it was funny... in that whole MST3k way.

Wow. I guess in this case, one man's garbage really is another man's gold.

Cause I love those episodes.
Especially "City on the Edge of Forever".

Well, I'll say one thing for "The Inner Light". It DID give us that beautiful piece of music. I particularly like the version on the 30th anniversary CD.

TNG rewatch continues, "Half A Life". Wife had somehow missed this in all these years of syndication, was very surprised to see David Ogden Stiers and Michelle Forbes.

I had seen it before, but it had been many years and the talk of forced euthanization seems particularly poignant considering the somewhat recent absurdist political dialog regarding "death panels". Kinda surprised Picard didn't get in any more lecturing towards their society, but I suppose the writers were giving Majel the heft of the episode. I have to say it really felt like it "humanized" the character of Lwaxana, instead of being a broadly painted caricature in episodes past.

Yesterday, Bread And Circuses, Doomsday Machine (AGAIN).:guffaw:

Omega Glory tonight!

Yangs? Yanks?

"I do not fully understand, one named Kirk, but the Holy Words will be obeyed, I swear it!"
"How!? I've just.. EXPLAINED it to you.. and you.. STILL do not understand! Am I speaking English here? Am I talking to myself??"
"One named-"
"STOP.. calling me that! KIRK! KIRK!!!"
"Jim. Time to go now."
"Oh. Oh yes. Well. I'm sure you'll do your, uh, best, Cloud William."
"Please go, one named-"
"KIRK!!! Just KIR-"
"Energize with expedience, Mr. Scott."

:guffaw::guffaw: I'm bad....

I love the trailer of Star Trek it's just amazing

It really is a masterful trailer. I find myself occasionally rewatching it just for the fun of it, which is something I can't recall ever having done previously with a trailer after having seen the actual movie.

I watched the last 3 ENT eps last night, finishing ENT all the way through for the 4th time. I'm also watching it with someone else sporadically, just starting season 3, which is my 5th time through. Watched First Contact a week ago with my 4th time viewing companion so she could be ready for In a Mirror Darkly.

Planning to watch ST:V next.

Otherwise my Trek viewing has been a bit slacker than usual because I'm finally watching Bab 5, on the fourth season.

DS9's "In the Hand of the Prophets"

The scene where Sisko screams no in slow motion was cheesy. Overall the episode was okay. Nothing to right home about, though.

I watched Hope and Fear, which was an interesting look at how Janeway and Voyager's crew's actions have consequences. Oh, and Day of Honor, Q2 and The Omega Directive as well.

Just finished the Mirror universe episodes of ENTERPRISE. Then watched the Terra Prime two-parter. Up next is the infamous TATV.

After that, I don't know if I'll start another Star Trek series. The only choices are TNG and VOYAGER.

Planning to watch ST:V next.

How masochistic of you. Best of luck with that!

Why thank you. I loved that film, camp romp with some great music. Just bought the soundtrack recently, it concludes with Uhura's fab fan dance song!! Awesomeness!! (not that she sang it.. it was done by a pop group called Hiroshima).

Oh and here's a tidbit for you.. not of the fan dance but of another musical classic from ST:V.

I still can't stomach that one. I actually asked Amazon to pull it from my blu-ray set when I ordered it, but they wouldn't...
