What Song Are You Listening to Right Now

Saint Etienne, "Magpie Eyes." I decided some time ago that I should probably have every proper Saint Etienne album (i.e., not necessarily all the compilations and rarities) eventually, even if just as legal downloads from eMusic, iTunes, Bandcamp, or the official Saint Etienne online store, buying one every so often. I bought the last four I needed this morning. It hasn't been a great week, so why not.

I listen to classical music while reading. It blocks out other sounds and varies my reading pace. This one stops my reading.

My favorite version and Queen of Night.

Been digging some bluegrass lately. It seems to be helping my mental state. Really enjoy this group as well as their solo efforts.

Music to chill out to...

Kathleen Edwards, "One More Song the Radio Won't Like." Seeing her play tonight. She's been around for a few years and she's from here so I don't know why I never got around to seeing her before. Definitely operating under the influence of Lucinda Williams on this album, not that there's anything wrong with that.
