What Programs Are You Watching on TV?

Covert Affairs - eh, it's not terrible but not good enough to bother with either.

So now I decide whether I stick with Haven or The Gates out of pathetic desperation. :rommie:

Or maybe this is finally the rainy day I've been saving the entire frakkin' run of The Sopranos for?

Good to know. I was going to watch an episode, but now I won't bother.

I have an episode of each tivoed. I'll watch them tonight and maybe join you in your pathetic desperation, if you don't mind the company.

I just realized I don't watch TV beyond the news and sports anymore, and for quite some time now. The last show I watched regularly was House, M.D. I think.

I don't watch anything on actual broadcast television anymore. I dropped my cable service and I don't have a digital converter box, so the only thing you'd get when you turn my TV on is static. I watch everything online or via DVD.

Shows that are in production that I watch/will watch when they are accessible to me:

Caprica
Dexter
Friday Night Lights
True Blood

Futurama - One of my all-time favorite shows. I can't believe it got cancelled, and I can't believe my good fortune in that it's back. I bought all the DVD's, so I guess I helped.

Warren the Ape - I'm a big Greg the Bunny fan, and this is a spinoff of that, with much more of an edge. This is the first thing I've watched on MTV since sometime back in the 90's. I started a thread here about the show a few weeks ago and didn't get one response. I hope more people than just myself are watching it. It's fantastic, and I want more seasons!

Pawn Stars - I really like Antiques Roadshow, and this is similar in that people bring stuff in to see how much they can get for it. What makes it more interesting is that it's in Vegas, so people tend to be more desperate.

The Hard Times of RJ Berger - Discovered this by accident while tuned to MTV for Warren the Ape. This show is actually quite well done. It's a bit edgier than Freaks and Geeks, but I'd say that whoever created it was definitely influenced by the greatness of Freaks. I'm hooked.

Top Shot - It's starting to lose me with all its reality show drama bullshit. I wish they could have kept it more about the competition between the marksmen. It's hard to believe that people with such cool and badass skills can also be such giant pussies. I am impressed though that the one woman on the show is the one least into the drama. Anyway, this show could have been so much better than what it's turned into. Too bad.

Ghost Hunters - I think they're completely full of shit, but I'm still fascinated by the topic, and the less than 1% chance that any of their evidence might actually be paranormal. "Something just touched my arm!!!" Good grief.

Guilty pleasure:

Billy the Exterminator - Plenty of douchebags on this show, but I'm mainly fascinated by how much this show makes me not want to live in Louisiana. A cabin infested with Brown Recluse spiders? No thanks!

It's not terrible, but also not memorable.

Be my guest, desperation loves company. I'm finding that The Gates becomes a lot more entertaining with the liberal use of the fast-forward button. For whatever reason, the cops interest me more than the other characters, probably because I feel sorry for the poor, clueless dupes who (apparently) have no idea they are attempting to "police" a bunch of supernatural critters. That strikes me as hilarious.

Haven
still could start shaping up. The next episode has a setting which is fairly promising - it needs to really amp up the horror factor because right now, it wouldn't scare a toddler.

Currently I'm watching House, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Penn and Teller's Bullshit, waiting for Spartacus to return, and Sumo (on NHK).

What are you watching?

I am watching House, all Law & Orders, And the best of all NCIS.:techman:

The Closer
Rizzoli and Isles (a bit of a snore, but it's not horrible)
Hawthorne
NCIS
White Collar
Covert Affairs
Burn Notice
Royal Pains
Futurama
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
Mega Disasters (when it's on)
How the Earth Was Made (when it's on)
ST: Next Generation (BBC)

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
True Blood
Top Gear
Doctor Who
Cougar Town
30 Rock
Modern Family

I watch a lot of documentaries and shows like Dirty Jobs can be interesting.

I hate reality TV, but for some reason I really like watching Cake Boss. I fear it will go down the Orange County/Miami Ink route and focus more and more on the people and shit outside of work than the actual work they do, but so far so good. Deadliest Catch is another good one.

Futurama, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, The Green Room, Lie to Me, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Charlie Rose.

I occasionally catch Doctor Who, but don't have BBCA, so it's only occasionally.

I've been watching Enterprise on DVD, but as for stuff currently airing, Hell's Kitchen and reruns of Glee. Not much else really other than Baseball and the such.

Top Gear
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Being Erica (Catching up on the second season. Such a great show! It deserves better than being on Soapnet in the US. It deserves to be on one of the big networks where it can be seen.)
Ice Pilots: NWT (Love it and can't wait for season 2)

The only thing I really watch on TV anymore is NCIS. Although, I'm watching Dollhouse and Terminator: Sarah Conor Chronicles on DVD though.
