Spoilers What other "special episodes" do you want to see on SNW?

Speaking of special episodes, I'm starting to suspect that Captain Batel is going to have one, but that it won't end well.

I mean, when Pike has his accident and is returned to Talos IV...he's reunited with Vina. So where is Batel? Does she leave Pike because of the accident? I doubt it. So are they gonna kill her off?

And for the record I like Batel a hell of a sight more than Vina. Even DSC Vina.

If SNW does a mirror episode, not only do I want to see Prime Lorca (who is probably still stranded in the MU) but I also want them to reveal that the ending of "In a Mirror, Darkly" didn't go well and that "Empress Hoshi" was blasted out of the sky in two seconds.

There’s a part of me that wants a “crew gets turned into puppets” episode like the classic hilarious Angel one, and another part that knows that veers too much into ridiculous jump-the-shark territory.

I wish Trek had some precedent like Doctor Who’s Red Nose Day, where they could do fun and ridiculous without it being in the main continuity.

Use the SNW bridge but in the more muted tones seen in the TOS pilots.

I can't remember, is there a reason they couldn't use the DSC version of the 1701 bridge in SNW? Something to do with filming locations?

It just seems weird that they went to all that trouble to build the DSC version (they built it to last, they didn't just do it on the cheap like Trek sometimes does with bridges) and then never used it again. :sigh:

I wish they’d just be SNW and not have this gimmicky bullshit dragging down an otherwise pretty good show.

10 episodes per season, and we need a musical and a crossover with a borderline parody cartoon? It feels desperate and creatively hollow, and this show has been better than that.

I thought the SNW bridge is the DSC bridge with refinements, not an entirely new build. Similar to how they continually modified the Enterprise-D bridge throughout TNG’s series run.

It's only a waste if it wasn't well done. This was. It moved several characters forward in their journey. The jokes landed . The serious parts were moving. The acting was on point.
No idea about the musical episode, yet. It may crash and burn
They're swinging for the fences this season. So far they've been hitting them out of the park

You can say that again

The LD crossover was epic, inspired and the best thing I've seen in years.

But I've said many times that they need to focus more with only 10 episodes, so I'm forced to agree that a musical in the same season as the crossover is taking too much away from the exploration and adventure.

Hell, I'm not sure they even need a musical, but I'm betting it won't suck. It will however probably be my least favorite episode of SNW.

Sorry guys, I want to see original sci fi Star Trek stories, not goofy gimmicky Lower Decks crossovers.

This show is better than that.

Yeah, they just got rid of the odd outer hallway and finished building the front half, right?
