What is your personal head canon?

As inspired by another thread, my personal Oz headcanon is that only the authentic Baum canon (i.e., Wizard through Glinda), and Hugh Pendexter's "The Three Witches of Oz" are canonical. The latter because it so brilliantly explains an otherwise unexplained inconsistency in the Baum canon itself. Pendexter's other stuff is indeterminate (because I haven't read any of it, and am not even sure where to look for it), and everything else (yes, including Ruth Plumly Thompson's stuff, but especially Maguire's stuff) is bovine scat.

:p

Headcanon: Section 31 is nasty, yes — but it pretty much only deals with opposition forces and threats that can be defined as “basically human, even if evolved elsewhere”: that is, humanoid threats, with essentially humanlike psychologies, on technological levels comparable to the Federation’s own. For species that are substantially ahead of the Federation technological norm — not ahead like the Dominion, but ahead like (say) the Metrons — S31 couldn’t do anything if it tried, so it doesn’t. Likewise, for species that are nowhere near achieving warp travel, or technology itself, there is no threat, so for them S31 observes the Prime Directive as much as regular Starfleet does.

This is kind of piggy backing off the post of what would you remove from Canon. What, despite it being in the TV shows or movies do you decide, nah... I have a better idea. A few for me are:

- Savvak was actually the traitor. I know this was the original plan but it's not canon. Also their relationship was like father/adoptive daughter.

-Money may not exist but assists do. It was the wealthy people of the past that we see in the shows now who own things. Picard vineyard , Kirk's family farm. They were the rich people of the past.

-Characters of two worlds (Spock, B'elanna) can not / should not be able have children do to this fact. I know she does and it bugs me.

-Kirk (TOS) has a speech impediment causing him to pause after several words.

-In Kelven Universe there was at least a year after getting back to earth that we didn't see where everyone either caught up on classes or got more experience.

So what are yours??
Trip faked his death just like Shran.

At least this doesn't have to be just head canon anymore. The NX-01 Refit is canon.

"Four-and-a Half Vulcans" shows that some Vulcans love Human culture. Perhaps Solok's parents were such and his hostility towards Sisko was one example of his general rebellion against their beliefs.

The SNW Enterprise gets refit into the TOS Enterprise and the only reason it doesn't have an -A suffix in TOS is those werent officially incorporated into the ship naming schemes until later (I need both ships to exist in my headcanon Im not into the "this is just how it looks in this show business.")

In universe, though, the letters are only used when the ship is replaced, not refit.

My understanding is the Enterprise had a smaller crew compliment, but was the same physical size from the Cage to SNW to TOS and TAS.

I guess I can easily head canon the TMP era Connie, including the refit, are all also the same size as the TOS era.

My head canon is the crew compliments were the same all along.

My head canon was, after what Pike's crew went through, that when Kirk started on a five-year mission, they would need a lot more crew (especially red shirts). At least enough to get them through five years, because it was going to be a long time before they could return to Starfleet for more.

My head canon is that crew complement depends on the mission. Patrol? For a Constitution class 203. For extended Patrol? 403. Exploration and research missions? 430.

With a Patrol mission, very little time is allocated to investigate anything.

With an extended Patrol, just in case an investigation is required...

Exploration and research, a 430 full science staff and security staff.
