What is your opinion of season 3 as a whole?

Yes she was considered a main. She was in most of the episides.
If the name is not in the title sequence, then the actor/actress is NOT a lead.

Even DS9, with the myriad of characters they had that FELT like leads (Garak, Nog, etc.), there were only 9 people (8 in seasons 1-3) listed during the theme... Brooks, Auberjonois, Dorn, Farrell (1-6, for season 7, it was de Boer), Lofton, Meaney, Shimerman, Siddig, and Visitor. Only those people were considered leads

That was especially true from TOS-ENT.

Nah. I think in casting age matters. Also you know many of us POC folks we tend to look younger than we are. usually in hollywood black actors can look the same for 20 years so in hollywood they tend to cast much much older black actors opposite younger white actors because melanin makes us look younger

so if you do cast a very young black actor and do not explain the context of why they are young they could feel out of place with the mature older white actors. In the first seasons of SNW, Uhura gave me Anakin Skywalker Phantom Menace prequel vibes. Even her whole arc was the new one in training like anakin but there was no need to make her 10-20 years younger than the rest.

Also No way should uhura ever look like mostly a little confused kid standing next to a grown woman as chapel who get to be portrayed as more fun, confidence and even flirty.

This is not true to the star trek lore. fact. I think the change of this does hurt how the character in perceived compared to the other much older girls, if we were to take her as a truly the younger version of tos

Also here is that sensual scene I was talking about between kirk/uhura from tos that would make it hard to interpret here in SNW since SNW Kirk looks old enough to her dad.

A lot of SNW Characters have their issues Spock messed up love life, Chapel been just a terrible person for no real reason,, Pike is always absent, We do not know what Una does despite rebecca best effort , Oretga needs to wave to the camera to show she is still around and with Uhura, snw would have fared better than the original and I do not think she would even have faced much criticism that she does not do much had she been a new character.

OK Gabby1701, I think you didn't get that "stop" means STOP.

It's not enough that you're unhappy that women have prominent parts or that you feel they're too sexy/flirty. Now you're upset that a certain woman is not prominent enough.

I don't know what the deal is with you, but you need to stop with this NOW. Again, we get that you don't appear to like how women are portrayed. So don't watch the show.

No more talk from you about Chapel, or Spock's love affair (or lack thereof) or any other whining about women. This woman, and most here, have had enough. If it keeps up, I'll keep warning, and you'll sit out for longer and longer. If I were still running the place, I'd have already ejected you permanently.

Watch the show and accept it for what it is. Or find another show with an all male cast or something, eh?

Generally, I'm pretty tolerant but I've reached the end with you. And people around here will tell you (when you get back), that when I say stop, I expect you to stop.

Billing is contractual, and your placement in the credits, and whether your name appears in the opening or closing credits is oft based on what your agent was able to negotiate... and if other actors got there first (hence Jonathan Harris being the last credited actor in the Lost In Space titles, since the billing for the rest of the cast was locked for the pilot that his character didn't appear in).
