What Is Your IQ?

I used my for-things-like-this email where I don't care about spam. Result was 146.

I've been professionally tested before, but I don't remember what the number was. I could probably look it up.

As for the questions, I made educated guesses on a few (overlapping octagons----I answered as if they were circles, probably the same result), and a complete random guess on one (I didn't understand the question about "making common words"....#20 I think.)

Basically, an IQ score measures the ability to learn. It's not a true score of how smart some one is or how much they know. Not even if the knowledge to be able to score high on an IQ test can be used in day to day reality.

Personally, I usually score between 110 and 115. However, I can still turn an empty wooded lot into a house, store or factory. I even remember how to field strip a jet fighter and put it back together so it flys. Even have a degree in Structural Engineering.

I refused to give them my e-mail address.

That alone ensures an IQ of at least 116.
I'd give them a back-up email address (one you use not very often). Me, I have three. :bolian:

I have 2, one I use as my official e-mail and the other for such things as this.
I have two additional official emails too (one from work, and another, which I've had for about 9 years now, being my main email) in addition to the three "for things like this". (Actually, I'm not sure if one of the "three" even works anymore - I've not checked it for a year.)

I just woke up and am quite drowsy, but 139. Meaningless number as you can be supremely intelligent and never use it or you can be of below average intelligence and excel.

I apparently took this same test several years ago and got a 122. Which would have been slightly lower than my "real" IQ at the time. And yes, contrary to what people say results from these things do change.
Exactly. I've known people who were completely book smart but had zero common sense as well as zero ability toward practical application.

One way a former Navy supervisor put it: "He's one of those who is so smart he could break his elbow trying to wipe his own ass."

Then, I've met the people with little formal education yet possessed greater mechanical skill and the ability to problem solve like no other.

IQ tests are irrelevant.

Mimic: Don't put much credence on online IQ tests, or IQ in general. It's just another number for people to compare peen with.

I didn't take this test because I only have one email address at the moment because one of my email providers closed down.

I did have a professional IQ test many years ago and I was told my IQ was 137. I am happy with that.

I got a 135, which is better than I usually do. I'm usually at 110-125, which confuses me. I like doing these sorts of tests but they always come up with some different number at the end.
