What is your general feeling on this new movie?

i mean we have had people going off about dirt on a shuttle even though we dont know the full context.

over all due to the people writing it being fans i feel a little better but just too soon.

Seeing how not one person I have beamed to about this movie (and it's almost everyone I come across), actually knows (and subseqently couldn't care) that it is being made, I expect a fairly empty theatre, and therefore expect to feel pretty damned good when my wife and I get it on in there.

Wow. A polarizer of a poll. You either like or hate. No shades of grey. Star Trek is all about that. I both like and dislike different aspects from each of the series. If I came down hard on any one thing, I just couldn't consider myself a fan no more. There's usually something in another area that compensates for what I'd think was poor. Meanwhile that "failing" has captured somebody else's imagination.

Well, I think most likely I'll enjoy it, since seeing Nimoy playing Spock again will be such a thrill to me, but there's just no way to really predict at this early stage. I'd rather see a poll like this made after the first substantive trailer.
