What if......

What if George Washington had accepted the offer to become King of the United States?

Would there be a Bill of Rights?

Would we have a Congress or a Parliament?

A Prime Minister, or a Chancellor, or an absolute Monarchy?

I'm not sure; the Constitution would be different. I think the Bill of Rights would be out or changed significantly, or not exist. And the Civil War could have been about Houses fighting for the throne.

What changes do you think would have happened?

I could see a Civil War happening eventually, possibly leading to smaller kingdoms from the broken up country.

My dream of becoming Emporer eventually would probably be a hell of alot easier to pull off.

That is hard to answer because even if he had accepted the title of King, his core values and character, what made him a great first ruler, would not be different. If they were different, then he wouldn't be George Washington, he would be someone else. So, if the question is, what if someone else had been appointed King and accepted, I think that our government would look much like England's does right now, so not a huge change. Though the civil war probably would have come sooner. And personal wealth would play a great role in government and political decisions...oh wait, that did happen.
