What if Sevenand Kim had a baby?

Which brings us to.. when do the Borg off you for oldness? Are there any human Borg over 50? I'd imagine not and you most probably get disposed of long before then. Perhaps they still rip off your arms. For other, fresher borgs.

Or they could rejuvenate 50 year olds into 30 year olds.

A constant cuycle of assimilation and escape could be a functionaing method of immortality, if you could just "liberate" a few Borg "Rejuvenation" Chambers.

or is there just a reverse setting on the maturation chambers?

Do Borg even age? I'd imagine the nanoprobes could preserve a status quo and prevent, or at least significantly slow down aging - which is pretty much just cell decay, biologically.

I don't think the Borg would stop sexual maturation. It would stunt the drones biological growth and be a pointless procedure. The drones have no desire to reproduce, so there would be no reason to perform that operation on them for prevention, and it would expend time and resources. They probably just take out and put in whatever is deemed necessary.

Gotta agree with this- sexual maturation goes hand-in-hand with your maturation into an adult- hormones give you size, strength, speed- all things the Borg would value. It seems clear that the Borg don't mind secondary sex characteristics, and why would they? They are part of a species' 'biological distinctiveness'.

According to what's been implied by Seven, size, strength and speed are provide by the nanoprobes building Borg tech in the assimilated body.

You don't watch much Doctor Who do you?

They had cybernetic immortal babies on for a few episodes and they were mass murdering psychopaths.

I mean these babies had disintegrator rays tucked into their housings yet they still had spinning blades, because the blood splatter erupting form a person as if they'd been left under a lawnmower for a nap "looked cool".

I Think this skit is set in Number 10 Downing Street.

That is after all the Prime Minister and his wife doing most of the talking.,

Well, Mickey did blow the frakk up two years earlier to deal with the Slitheen.

So it's not an ancient building anymore.

Doctor Who is cool. The Master is cool too even if I am not overtly fond of John Simm. But yes, his first few episodes featured pstchopathic cyborg babies killing mass quantities of random people across the planet.

A pity the Borg could nevr attain to this heightend level of fright.

You are aware that in regular continuity that Chakotays penis had been inside Seven's vagina, and was going to do so again repeatedly until they made a baby wittingly or unwittingly?

Considering that the thread topic is about HARRY KIM, I don't see what difference it would make whether or not Seven and Chakotay had sex. :vulcan:

For what it's worth, I've been reading a lot of Chakotay/Seven fanfic on fanfiction.net - a series of multichapter stories by a university student who goes by the name of scifiromance. She usually has Seven becoming a mother (she's written several "what if" stories from multiple possibilities), and I don't recall any great fuss over any of the kids having tattoos.

I just had an epiphany.

7 and Chakotay each have arched symbols over their left eye.. 7's is a Borg implant and Chakotay's is some Indian thing. They are each branded with an identity they did not choose but was thrust upon them by circumstance. In Chak's case birth and in 7's case assimilation. They are tribal people in a way that Janeway with all her talk of "Indiana" will never be.

A compromise might be a Tattoo of a Borg implant over the child's eye?

Oh Look!

David Marcus is on Hill Street Blues!
