What I noticed in Stargate Universe...

The series itself reminded me a lot of Star Trek in a length of respect. It's far more different than two separate franchises that they've been working on for years. What I'm talking about is LENS FLARES!

Not that I'm complaining here, but there are so much lens flares to go around in that most scenes. Mind you, this franchise is still new to this day today, but I wondered what executive producers has to says about this lens flares? Do you agree that it's very star trek-like?

Um, no. The only flares I have ever noticed where from the star at the end of Friday night's episode.

Same. I think a couple of shots had a bit of lens flare from LEDs but they were always framed with the sun in the background. The director is trying to make it look bright on a ship that's about to crash into a star, who'dathunkit? SGU is definitely not in the same category as Trek when it comes to lens flares, it's a much poorer argument than the BSG-like shaky cam thing.

Mind you I didn't have a problem with the lens flares in Trek.

Haven't really noticed any, either that or Star Trek (the new movie) has numbed me to their affect

I noticed the lens flares in episode 1x04 "Darkness" along with some BSG camera movement. But unlike the star trek style of Atlantis and SG1 there are no aliens and no action going on.
