Probably so. Ultimately, it will be how they use the character to see what happens. SNW utilizes legacy characters pretty well. DS9 was mixed, but did ok. TNG was deeply mixed, with only really Unification utilizing Spock well, and Sarek using, um, Sarek well. Though, sadly fucking up Spock and Sarek's improved relationship in the process]*DS9 S4 has entered the chat*[
