What games are you playing currently?

Anno 117

Everything is there what one likes about the Anno series and a few new things thrown in. Still a bit buggy at times ( had to google some to find out it was a bug and not me being dumb and not understanding how something works) but what surprised me most was the campaign that abruptly ends after Act 2 without any resolution to the storyline.

Seems to me the publisher pushed for a release and the developers didn't have time to finish the campaign.

Just bought this one myself because it was selling for so cheap on steam. I heard the story was very "X Files" and that was its strongest selling point. Any improvement deeper into the game or still just meh?

I finished the main story but only because once I start something I must finish it even if it isn't what I thought it was and feel disappointed. It got a little better when Jesse gets her levitating powers, that kind of made things more fun but the same enemy types and such were my biggest let downs. Also the story really feels so contrived.

The Hiss.

They could have given them a better name, or more lore. On that most of the lore is only learned via collectables, so reading stuff. How fun? /s Still rate the game at a 5/10 but it did improve a bit for me and become a little more fun.

That's the thing with most Remedy games. The lore is mostly through collectables and some videos, but yeah, you're going to be doing a lot of reading, mostly. Which for an action game, it an odd thing to do. I find that kind of lore works better in an RPG where you can take your time exploring.

And another thing is that the game itself works better as a bridge to the Alan Wake games. As a standalone game, it doesn't really feel like it offers much, as much of what goes on in that game helps to also explain what goes on in the Alan Wake games.

^ I honestly feel like Gotham Knights is such an underrated game. I personally played it as a Batgirl game (I played all the missions with her when given the choice) and I had a ton of fun with it.

I do think one of the reasons a lot of people diss the game is the terrible performance on PC (it's not great on consoles either).

Seemed to run well on my machine.

Ryzen 5600g 64g ram AMD RX6600 8gig

I think they have patched it over the years

Some games still are years after release. Batman: Arkham Knight is broken on modern consoles (yet is still sold), for instance. It becomes unplayable the further you get into the game when the game starts to rely more on the Batmobile's tank battles. Something to do with how everything is fetched from the SSDs that causes crashes. I liked the game, but was never able to finish it because of this. Always crashes at the same point.

World of Warcraft introduces Player Housing today after the patch goes live. Players that have pre-ordered the next expansion "Midnight" will have access to the feature, though everyone else will be able to visit and gather materials for crafting things.

Started playing Where Winds Meet today. Been looking forward of a good Wuxia-themed Game/MMO for a while now, so was really looking forward of trying this. I did not have time to play much( spent too long with the character creator) but I do like what I see so far.
Also, I was glad I was able to choose the original Mandarin voice acting( with English subs), helps with the immersion, in my opinion.

Finished Elex. That was a great game. Will look forward to eventually playing the sequel. I'm now playing Verne: The Shape of Fantasy, which is an adventure game inspired by Verne's writings. Verne himself is a character aboard the Nautilus and it explores his memories as a writer giving the game different environments related to his other works. It's very atmospheric.

It is rumored to be a tomb raider 1 remake.

They only just recently remastered the first 3 games, I doubt that's it. Plus the first game already had a remake done for the PS3 era.
