What games are you playing currently?

Finished AC Valhalla, and generally I've enjoyed the game. I would consider Valhalla my second fav of the modern games, with Origins being my favourite. That ending though with Basim and Eivor and Layla seemed all over the place in terms of scripting, and I don't find it to be a satisfying ending. No credits or any such thing either.

The Order assassinations, outside of the ones as part of the story, more or less seem pointless and not at all well integrated into the game. Though that's an issue with the modern games where assassinations seem to take a backseat, and I wish they would integrate them into the game better again.

I'm still playing Silksong. In my second playthrough I decided to do a Beast/Witch crest only run. I chose those because they are the only two crests without a guaranteed heal on bind. Both binds require damaging enemies to regenerate health.

I'm currently right at the start of act 3. I'm finding that Beast is great on large enemies and terrible on small quick moving enemies. And Witch is just bad in general. Beast is the best at damaging any enemies that don't rely on counterattacking with the downthrust. Witch has similar movement to other crests but has the worst bind.

Just over 4 hours into playing Control and really it's meh. I am glad I waited on this one and got it super cheap but really don't get the hype this game got when it was first released. The story is well it's a thing, Federal Agency is attacked that is a supernatural version of the FBI kind of, the environments don't feel especially original or the waves of enemies.

5/10

I am in the process of finishing the DLCs and I reasonably liked it. It's all about the gameplay especially with the psychokinetic powers.

I get that and if you enjoy it then more power to you. That's great but It wasn't what I liked and I wanted to get it when it was cheap just to have a go, now I'm past mission 6 and well I have to finish it now.

The gameplay is quite repetitive and the level design can be quite confusing to navigate. But I did still find it to be a fun game, and it's all tied into Remedy's Alan Wake series.

Sorry but that's another one I looked at thought it could be fun then regretted the purchase. I just couldn't get into it and the gameplay felt repetitive

I mean, I can understand what they were trying to do, but in many ways they turned it into a generic 3rd person shooter. Remedy ended up getting the rights back to their own IP from Rockstar, and there might be a chance that if their remakes prove successful, that they make a new entry.

Why is it that 90% of the time, if I'm wearing my headset which has excellent noise cancellation, someone will try to talk to me in my physical location, which then results me taking my headset off in order to explain to them that I can't possibly hear them. Always.

It is unfortunately, but nitendo is indeed getting greedy. I was trying out the game chat function yesterday to try gameshare Mario kart World with a friend, didn't support it. In fact the list of games that support it is so small it's not worth it! And the most annoying part? It's becoming part of the Nintendo membership in March next year! Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves

Hi, I'm a PC gamer and haven't bought a physical copy of a game since Portal 2.

I'm sure Nintendo want to murder the re-sale market and are happy to do so at the expense of collectors, but really that leaves the only other option to protect your games from de-lists and deletion and whatnot, piracy. I know Nintendo can brick your Switch 2 if caught playing bootleg games, but I suspect Switch 2 emulation on PC already exists somewhere under the radar. And if not, it's only a matter of time. I read awhile ago that Ninty went after Switch 1 emulators so hard (threatening some, paying off others to disappear) because it would only be a few tweaks for them to run Switch 2. No idea how true that is but apparently the Dolphin emulator plays Gamecube and Wii games.
