What games are you playing currently?

Super Mario 64: Render 96. If you tried this briefly in the past, try it again. It's much more than an HD pack and reskin. Setting it up is a right old ballache though.

It looks like it looked to me as a kid in 1997. And underneath it all, still the best videogame of all time. IMO. YMMV.

I may be finally installing Red Dead Redemption II, for X-Box One, next week.
Hope it's not too resource hungry?

Didn't really finish Hogwarts Legacy however. The duelling club and spell learning gets very frustrating.

Because it's spooky day, I decided to try the original Silent Hill on PS1. First time.

Holy shit control schemes have come a long way in 25 years. Also, this is just Twin Peaks with more blood.

The Outer Worlds 2 and Test Drive: Solar Crown.

OW2 is exactly as expected, rollicking good time from Obsidian. TD:SC? This is the dullest racing game I’ve ever played. Even at $22, it was too much.

Good to know, thank you. I'm still on the fence for OW2 due to the price, and yeah I'll avoid that racing game.

If you enjoyed the first one, you’ll likely enjoy this one. Though I understand waiting with the higher price tag down under.

It's only the pricing holding me back.

I am after an open world driving game that lets you go for hours without the need for competition that is fun and lets you goof off and not be too serious. Forza Horizon 5 looks good but that's against other people and really they don't do anything single player do they that would meet my needs?

IIRC, you can race against “Drivatars”, if you prefer. They are essentially data driven AI based on players play styles.

Though, unless you can get it cheap, I’d wait. Forza Horizon 6 is supposed to release sometime in 2026. Plus, some of the cars that released with 5 are apparently no longer available.

I might get horizon 5 as I got a refund from steam for American Truck Simulator so that refund will help pay for Horizon 5

Update: I did get Forza Horizon 5 and I'll have a crack at it later on in the month. I also got The Outer Worlds 2 and so far it feels familiar to the first game that came out. So far it's OK as well.

^ Such a good game. I first played it on the PS4 and then replayed it on the PS5. I loved it both times.

I started playing Outer Worlds 2 a few days ago. So now I have that plus Tears of the Kingdom and Powerwash Simulator 2 in my rotation. :)

Outer Worlds 2 is Ok, but not great. I preferred the first one to be honest. I'm yet to get to the Vox tower but I'm doing all the side stuff too.

Spiderman 2 is taking up my time. When I first got it I had zero inclination to dig into it too much but once I got a few missions done in Spiderman 2 I really started to dig it and have fun. Only thing I hate so far are the side bits where you play other characters.

^ Yeah I like OU2, but I don't love it so far. The first one really clicked with me. This one, not so much (at least not yet). I just left the first planet btw.

I really enjoyed Spiderman 2. Maybe not as much as the first one (most likely because it was something new and fresh at time) but it's still an awesome game. But yeah, all those sections where you play as someone else can be quite annoying (it was the same in the first game).

I'm the opposite to you in that I love the second game more than the first one.

I'm having way more fun with Spider-Man 2 than I did with the first one.

Same here. I liked the first one, but I had issues with the camera at times that made swinging and targeting on certain side-missions difficult (the one where you have to swing around and extinguish fires across several buildings comes to mind) , but the sequel fixed most of those issues and made it a generally smoother game to play.

Ooh I know that mission well. It was a pain here too.

Some of the side missions in the sequel feel like they drag on a bit too long, so far that's my only gripe as I enjoyed the game for the most part. I'm not sure how long till the end bit, I'm about 46% through

I found the side-missions a bit more fun in the sequel. More variety in stuff you could do. Although the hardest by far were the mysterium challenges, where some of the requirements made them quite frustrating.

I put a guy THROUGH a hot dog cart... Not over it but through it...... It was one of the chasing down symbiotes side bits.

Also my character I created for Outer Worlds 2.. Hours into the game I just realised in this one you can change camera to 3rd person like a normal game.
