Been playing some Pokemon Violet lately. Just item hunting and stuff.
Yeah, I really wanted to like Mankind Divided. I loved the setting and the ideas behind it, but it felt like it ended just as things were really starting to get going. FWIW, I feel like games should never end on a cliffhanger the way that game did. But I realize that was likely because they were told to push it out the door and had much more planned. At least the DLC set in the prison was unique and fun. But yeah, one of the few games I've ever encountered that truly felt unfinished.
There's a 3rd option, which is a bit of both. I don't think they originally intended to end the game that way, which is quite a terrible way to end a game by revealing the person pulling the strings. It really felt like they'd only completed at least half of the game. Remember, they got acquired by Embracer Group around that time, and Embracer Group had a lot of trouble itself and cancelled plans for a sequel. If they truly had plans for a sequel, then I believe they would have set it up with a better ending, which is why I feel it was rushed out the door.
Same----might be the most beautiful game I've ever played.I started playing Ghost of Yotei a few days ago.
I live in Japan and don't think a film adaptation would even be this gorgeous........^ Yeah I'm playing in the Ray-tracing Pro mode and it looks gorgeous.
