What games are you playing currently?

Regarding my earlier problem, it was indeed user error :D

Again though, it's partly due to how the UI works, and when using items like the metal detector, you have to physically take it from the inventory to interact with the detected spot, even though all you have to do is have the detector in the inventory to get a prompt that it detected anything.

I spent a lot of time on this part, because there were supposed to be 3 mines to detect and disable. But even with using the correct method, I wasn't getting anything usable and thought it had bugged out on the 3rd one, which really confused me and concerned me. Turns out though, it counted this step as completed, and so I moved on.

I've been farming Nilfheim, working on upgrading my gear. I've got level 7 chest armor, bracers and waist armor. I've also upgraded my axe pommel to a level 8. So, I decided to try out a couple of Valkyries. I've managed to kill Gunnr and Kara so far.

The new Saints Row reboot is copping a lot of bad reviews, well colour me not surprised watching early reviews it looks like utter shit. I am yet to see a glowing review.

Will wait till this is on a huge sale and doesn't link to Epic Spyware

I know it's getting shit reviews, but I think I'm still going to try it after I platinum God of War. I played a couple of games last gen that got shitty reviews I absolutely loved like Mad Max and Days Gone.

Oh I know how that goes Mad Max got some shitty reviews but I enjoyed this but Saints Row really does like like a piece of shit, polished and shiny but still shit.

I also enjoyed Mad Max and Days Gone. And I've loved some of the previous Saints Row games. But this new one does look pretty bad.
It's decent enough...
It's a Saints Row game...
But the reviews are based on the unpatched version...
It got 2 patches, but it's still a bit buggy, but the gameplay and story are fun...
And it is a little more grounded than SR4 but i got a hoverboard and a gun that shoots boxing gloves, so still weird and funny...
Lots of references to previous Volition games like Red Faction and i also saw the Clercs store...

Playing on PS4 BTW.

Mad Max was a really fun game, and I appreciated that the thought put into the details, like how the different engines sound very different. I thought that detail in particular was really nice, when they could have easily decided to have it all sound the same.

Finally got around to playing Black Mesa - got it ages ago but that's as far as it went. I'm remembering more about Half-Life than I'd expected. Playing it has also reminded me how much I loathe jumping puzzles. Grrr.

I'm a convert. I NOW freaking love The Outer Worlds
I'm doing all the DLC before I uninstall as I got 70 hours of play from this. Doing multiple runs and I think the very last run I will do is "Kill everything that moves" to see how that changes the ending.

I've been playing Soul Hackers 2. Its the first game from the Shin megami series that I've played, but I like it fairly well. It reminds me a lot of the Digimon Cybersleuth games, which I really liked.

I may need to retry this game. Last time I played it was on PS4 on a 55" tv. My only complaint was the text was so damned small I couldn't read it. Maybe I could retry it on my PS5 on a 65" tv and see what happens. Worst case, I could wear my glasses instead of my contacts

Go into settings there is an option to enlarge text in the game settings.

Also in the DLC Peril on Gorgon the music is like a weird creepy christmas music

Just finished Elden Ring - 309 hour playthrough. What the hell? Dangerously addictive game. It grinds you, beats you into a pulp and leaves you on the verge of rage quitting. The next day? All I thought about was going back for more.

Just started Farcry 6 - first Farcry game I've given an honest go. So far it's not spinning my wheels. I'll persevere a bit longer.

Thinking I might do a God of War replay before Ragnarok comes out. I remember those damned Valkyries. I managed to take all of them down save the last one. I went in confident but the opening salvo was absolutely brutal. I think I gave it two tries before deciding "nope". So yeah - good luck!

I've 100% Muspelheim, Nilfheim, Alfheim, Helheim and am at 99% on Midgard. The ONLY thing I have left is to kill the Valkyrie queen. Good Lord, that's the most annoying fight ever. I played on Normal mode the whole game. Some Valkyries gave me fits, the middle realm tear with the Revenants in Ivaldi's Temple pissed me off, but this Valkyrie fight is something else. I even lowered the difficulty and she's easily kicking my ass and I'm level 8
