I got Days Gone for a few bucks a few weeks ago and I started playing it, hated the wonky controls and below average graphics (rather unusual for a Sony exclusive game, I must say) but then came back to and finished it yesterday and liked it better than I thought I would (although I still hate the wonky controls). It's nowhere near any of my favorite games and the plot was generic and a lot of it was repetitive, but eh, I've played worse games recently *ahem* Cyberpunk 2077 *ahem*. It was alright. Next game on my list is now Watch Dogs 2 and then Watch Dogs Legion. (I'm one of the very few people who enjoyed the first Watch Dogs game, lol.)
I turned a $12 ESP32 board I bought on ebay awhile back into a Vic20 emulator using the files from http://www.fabglib.org/ . It's working well. Now I just need a ps2 mini keyboard. I'm going to build house the board and the keyboard into a 3d printed case not based on any particular computer in general
Phantasy Star Online 2 is my crack. Lovely game with lots of silliness - maybe more waifu T&A than really appeals to me, though - and interesting technical combat that isn't floaty and imprecise like nearly any other MMORPG I've ever played.
I also started Ghost of Tsushima. It's...good. But lukewarm. I should love it, but it feels like the last 20 open world things I played. I'm a bit over open worlds. I used to think they were a virtue in and of themselves, but now I just cbf. Ubisoft are particularly complicit in this, churning out bland Ubiworlds with nothing to do sans clean up icons off the map like it's laundry day and I'm picking up socks off the floor or something.
There are some good open worlds - the small and dense variety of Sega's Yakuza series, where there's so much to see and do and weird stuff pops up left right and centre, and the opposite approach of Nintendo's Breath of the Wild. Truly that was one of the only big open worlds where I've constantly just wanted to 'see what's over there' and could happily just wander around for hours.
That turned into a bit of a stream of consciousness monologue, sorry

Funny you mentioned that I was just watching a video on the history of this game and it started with Great Giana Sisters..
Twisted Dreams is a lot of fun but insanely difficult. PlayStation is selling it for 4 dollars

And love the box art for the game... Totally different looking to what you get in the game hehe, but yes looks like fun but hard
I'd really like to try this game again. But, I'm one of those people who fuck around on open world games. So, when I tried Skyrim, I got to the first town, killed a chicken. No big deal. EXCEPT, the town went apeshit and killed me. So, I reloaded a save slot. Town went apeshit. Over a chicken. I switched to another game. Played it for months and months. Decided to go back to Skyrim. Loaded up my save. Town was STILL going apeshit. Over the goddamn chicken. I switched it off and haven't looked back

I would REALLY recommend not killing a chicken in the first town
