I hate Far Cry 5 because of the random kidnappings, even when you are miles away from anyone they can happen and it's a fucking stupid bit of design
I don't mind that so much, they give you a warning that they are after you, so you know it's coming next time you run into the cultists.
I ended up getting bored and started Far Cry 5 yesterday afternoon, seriously love this game. It is just an absolutely blast.

Yes but it can happen anywhere, even when you are in an area you think is safe which is hell stupid game design

Was it full of stars? :)

Has anyone tried Heaven’s Vault yet, out of curiosity? It’s by the same group that made the excellent (IMO) 80 Days, and looks interesting/different.

Cheers,

I've been going through Yakuza 4 and enjoying it a lot. Having multiple characters is fun, even if I like some of their combat styles more then others. I'm finally on Kiryu's section, and its great to be back in control of him. Y4 is so much better then Y3 its almost ridiculous, although obviously its still less advanced then the later games. After this I'll have Yakuza 5 and 6 to play through to finish the main series (I don't own Judgement, although I plan to get it eventually), but I'll probably break this up with games inbetween like I've been doing so far.

GTA V if it ever stops downloading... 74 gigs later it still wants another 18 on top.. Wonderful

I don't play online ever so why can't I have an SP download or have the launcher let me choose what I want?

That's what I've liked of Uncharted 4. When downloading, it gives you the option of either downloading the single-player or multiplayer.

I just finished Yakuza 4. It was much better then Y3, and overall a great experience. I have Y5, but I'll probably play adifferent kind of game before starting it.

Also, just for the hell of it I've been playing Iron Man for the Wii on my WiiU. I got it for $3 at a goodwill, and that's about what its worth. In about 2 and a half hours I'm 3/4ths of the way through it. Its not the worst thing ever, but its an inferior version of the PS3/Xbox 360 version from what I can tell, and that got mediocre reviews. Still, it's mildly interesting for doing different story things with the MCU Iron Man (I got to fight Titanium Man, and the plot overall barely resembles the movie but requires you to have seen the movie to not be completely lost)), and for a game that I'll probably finish before the 4 hour mark, it was probably worth the $3.

OK the new Rockstar Launcher has cloud saves. Singleplayer never did that before on PC and there was a savegame there from when I last played this back mid last year. So it must have recorded that even though it was using the old launcher. Now I can finish pesky side missions and try to complete as much as possible.

Played Lego Marvel Super Heroes with my oldest nephew on his Xbox One last (Tuesday) night. We played three levels.

Played Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 on my oldest nephew's Xbox One tonight (Wednesday) and unlocked "The Klaws Are Out" (complete 'What's Klaw's is Mined') as an achievement.

And then I switched to Batman: Return to Arkham - Arkham Asylum on my oldest nephew's Xbox One. Unlocked a couple of achievements there, same ones I unlocked for the xbox 360 years ago.

I just recently played through the Resident Evil 3 remake. The original trilogy was a staple of my childhood, so it's been fun playing through these remakes and experiencing it all again for what feels like the first time. RE3 doesn't quite reach the highs of the RE2 remake, but it's still a lot of fun. That said, I remember getting completely lost in the city in the original, with a lot of freedom to explore, but this time around it felt a lot more condensed and linear, less ambitious in its scope.

I've been playing Control for the past couple of weeks and I'm loving it! Jesse Faden's powers make you feel more like a Jedi than anything Cal Kestis was capable of in Jedi: Fallen Order (sans lightsaber, of course ;) ) The game has a weird vibe to it, kind of like an off the wall X-Files episode crossed with the Matrix. Notes and case studies can be found all over the Oldest House, as well as bad 70s-era training videos for FBC staff  I'm kind of bummed out I think I'm getting close to the end of the game, though. But, luckily there's DLC to dive into next!

And Control's star is the lovely Courtney Hope... This game connects to the game Alan Wake too. Didn't care much for that game. Finished it didn't care much for it.

Oh wow GTA 5 really burns on my new build a near constant 112 fps it never felt this fast before. I just like driving around the map and not sure if I want to do a full replay of the game but I might one day.
