What games are you playing currently?

I don't have a console or a PC that is able to run newer games so I've been taking a walk down memory lane lately. Went through FO 1 and 2 and now I'm on Return To Castle Wolfenstein. Almost forgot how much I loved that game.
I'm eyeing other classics on GOG right now.

Got rid of Final Fantasy XV and I've started Horizon Zero Dawn. Its really fun to play, even if its story is extremely mediocre.

I hate Max Payne 3

I loved the very first Max Payne.
I loved the 2nd one even more.

I can't stand the 3rd game in the series.

I'm up to the favela are and Max has shaved off all his hair and is now sober.

But it was a chore of a game. There are clues to find and golden gun parts, but the game DOESN'T give you time to find them as it pushes you forward in a linear path. The rails are bolted to your feet literally. You don't get time to find the clues that you are supposed to or those golden gun paths because if you stay in an area too long instant death.

Oh and let's not get started on the visual effects of this thing called a game. Every few seconds the screen flashes or random words pop up on the screen. Who honestly in their heart thought that was good design? Too bad if you are photosensitive. Don't play this one. You can't turn those effects off either, which would have been a nice option had they done that. But Nooooooooooo Fuck you Rockstar.

I love their other games like L.A. Noire and GTA V but this one sucks a donkey dick.

5/10

I completed Shadow of the Colossus a few days ago. Then I started playing Telltale's Game of Thrones game.

Playing Bomber Crew.
It manages to be both incredibly motivating to "do one more mission" and frustrating, when your bomber falls out of the sky because you were to busy managing the crew to notice you are now somewhere over Norway with 5 minutes of fuel left in the shot up tanks.

Playing Horizon Zero Dawn on the PS4, and its fun. A bit annoying at times with some unfair fights, but overall its enjoyable. The world is great and Aloy is a good protagonist.

My brother and I also recently picked up a Gamecube (with an hdmi adapter, which works really well) and a Wii (because it was complete and cheap at a Goodwill), and they've both been fun. We had a Gamecube back in the day, and a Wii for a little bit, but its been years and we missed a lot of games. I'm playing through Metroid: Other M (my first Metroid game) and its a mixed bag. The gameplay is fun, but the story and cutscenes are beyond terrible. Bad voice acting mixed with a stupid, poorly written plot makes all the story elements cringe worthy. But, if it stays fun to play I'll beat it. I also have the Prime trilogy (1 and 2 on GC and 3 on Wii), which I'll probably play eventually.

Also, i just have to say that, even though it looks goofy, Donkey Konga with the Bongo controller is fun. Banging on it while playing the pokemon theme or DK Rap is great. As a full priced thing it might be a bit of a weak product, but for a combined $16 for game and bongos its really fun (I'll probably get Donkey Konga 2 and DK Jungle beat, the other two games made for the bongos, eventually).
