What games are you playing currently?

On the mobile front, I switched out Trexels for Paradise Bay.
As for my PS4, I ended up getting the Mad Max game yesterday. I hadn't planned on getting anything else until I finished either AC: Syndicate and Witcher 3, but Wal-Mart had Mad Max for only $19.97, and was down to one last copy. Since bought it, I decided to go ahead and start it. I'm only 2 or 3 hours into it, and it's pretty fun so far.

I paused my game rental service and I'm planning on getting through some of my pile of shame, Dishonoured Definitive Edition, Fallout 4, Shadow of Mordor on disc and whole heaps of Games With Gold and PS+ games.

I started Unfinished Swan earlier. Also done a few levels on Trials Fusion.

I'm going to have to marathon all the Castlevania games over the weekend. After I finish the show, of course.
Have you ever beaten any of them? They're harder than crap! The closest I got to beating the first one was the second form of Dracula (I need to try again). I beat the second one, and I think I got to the next to the last stage on Castlevania III. Super Castlevania IV I got to the stage that plays Bloody Tears and I think I got halfway through Castlevania: Bloodlines. I've been eyeballing Castlevania: Dracula X on eBay but I can't do the 3D/Metroidvania games.

Oh, I've finished all of them multiple times, well except for the Lords of Shadow ones. Those sucked.

Dracula X was the name of the second SNES game which was a sort-of port of Rondo of Blood. If you mean Drac X Chronicles for PSP, that's a shitty remake of Rondo of Blood. But if you beat the game once, you get access to the original and an okay port of Symphony.

What's wrong with the Metroidvanias? Some of them a pretty fantastic.

^Yeah I'm talking about the one on Super Nintendo

I don't know. I've tried playing Symphony of the Night multiple times on multiple platforms... I just can't get into it. It always makes me want to pop in one of the NES, SNES or Genesis Castlevanias. It's also not that I don't enjoy exploration games either. Super Metroid is one of my favorite games ever. I just don't think it belongs in Castlevania. It may make me sound like an old man, but to me Castlevania is about Simon or Trevor Belmont wandering around Transylvania whipping the shit out of things :)

I plan on heading back to Rise of The Tomb Raider as I have the Baba Yaga dlc to complete. Besides that, more Ryse, a quick go of Rise of the Triads and continue looking for Victor in Arkham City.

In honor of our ongoing disagreements in North Korea...

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction for the original Xbox.

Lot of fun collecting the Deck of 52.

In the last week I've finished Unfinished Swan, inFamous First Light and Unravel. Enjoyed all of them, though the music in Unravel gets repetitive and a little annoying.

I'm actually enjoying Velvet Assassin..... I didn't think I would but I like it.

Also Dreamfall The Longest Journey is fun now despite the wonky controls. It's just so sensitive you almost have to shut the mouse sliders down all the way. It's supposed to be good with a gamepad but I don't like using that.

Uncharted: Drake Collection on PS4. I completed Drakes Fortune last weekend but am stuck :brickwall: on the end boss on Among Thieves so I put it down before I decided to give my PS4 an early grave :borg:

Uncharted may be a great series but all 4 of them have HORRIBLE :censored: end bosses. Infact end game bosses are a terrible cliche that 50% of games don't need. Make a epic last chapter sure but we don't need 1 over the top boss in all games at the very end. Naughty Dog discovered this when making The Last of Us but it's a pity their other games have not discovered this.

Nier Automata

Annoyed though that you have to start right at the very beginning if you die in the first part. I got killed by the two rotating thingies you meet on a bridge.

Definitely want to finish that first level but geez. It kills me that the game drags you back to the beginning.

That nearly made me walk away from the whole damn thing, so I feel your pain.

Glad I stuck with it. You will be too - it's something pretty specially

I have stuck with it and doing it in little bits every now and then. Have visited the desert, the amusement park and the robot village.

Oh I see young males have gone a bit nutty over 2B's bottom. What's so great about this?

OK that took like 6 hours but I downloaded the Dishonored 2 demo and I am liking it a lot.

No frame drops (that I have noticed) game is smooth. 1920x1080 but I have everything set to medium so that maybe why. I'm not sure what everything set on high would do.

So far the demo is fantastic and makes me want to get the rest of the game.

Now with Steam does the rest unlock or is that a new download? I've heard people complaining about a 20gig download for the demo and a new download for the whole game.

Dishonored 1 ran very well on my machine with graphics on high.

Just got done playing 'Shadowrun: Dragonfall' and loved every bit of it. Started 'Hong Kong', but for some reason I'm not feeling the story as much...plus I may have borked my character build. Trying to decide whether to solder on or restart with a more specialised build.

Have to say, I don't know who owns the rights to this IP but it's wasted as just a game property. Classic fantasy D&D races, monsters & magic in Blade Runner/Neuromancer type cyber-punk future with a heavy noir influence? I'd watch the hell out of that movie/TV show!

The way Steam manages these thing it'll probably need a fresh download, but you may be able to pull some shenanigans with the demo files.
Try starting the full game download, pause it, them go the the folder it's installing in then copy/paste the demo install files into it, sans the executables. I think what you do next is exit and reopen steam and it should scan the folder and carry on the download with at least a major chunk of it reading as done.

I pulled this trick when I installed the steam version of Gat out of Hell after the GOG version refused to recognise my old custom boss from SR4. Didn't 100% it straight off, but registered at least 70% of the files as valid IIRC.

I'm going to do a fresh run of Gat Out Of Hell one day. The flying is so much fun. Kinsie is also amazing.

Excited for August and Agents Of Mayhem
