What games are you playing currently?

I saw a copy of Fallout 3 (no DLC) for 10 bucks so decided to start that.

It's a really interesting game. So much to explore.

But I'm frustrated by how clumsy the real-time combat is (VATS is cool). Compared to games like Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted, the innacurate nature of shooting combat in real time is grating. I hear it was even worse in Oblivion. I hope they fix all that in Skyrim.

I find the game a little difficult too but the exploration is great.

Still on my ME2 Insanity run with an engineer. So far Horizon has been the hardest mission and this has been the first time I've been able to complete it on this level. The disabled collector's vessel was even quite easy, with the husk run proving to be the most difficult part.

^ I hope you have as much fun as I had on my first Insanity playthrough. It was so much more fun than my first ME1 Insanity playthrough, which was pretty great to begin with.

Also: Damn you, old WoW acquaintances on Facebook, I won't let you talk me into playing SWTOR with you, do you hear me? I WON'T LET YOU!!!

Started my 2nd play through of Mass Effect 2 this morning. I'm hoping this time I can keep more of my team alive this time, so they so they'll still be around in ME3. I can't remember exactly who I lost last time, but I remember that I wanted another play through to try to keep more of them alive. I'm also determined to get together with Miranda this time. I'm really curious what'll happen in ME3 if I have both Ashley, who I picked for my relationship in the recap comic (I don't have a XBox 360 so until I get ME1 for my laptop, if it's compatible, that's the only way I can experience the first game) and Miranda on my team.

I got the urge to play through Call of Duty 4, first time in about two years. The game still looks pretty damn good, even four years later. :techman:

I can never get enough of All Ghillied Up/One Shot, One Kill.

After listening to a 70 min interview with the SotS2 producer I'm back playing SotS1 to tie me over until the end of September.

I've been doing lots of zombie slaying in CoD: Black Ops.

And yesterday... oh man... I was having this gorgeous run... playing the Call of the Dead map... Wave 20, both the HK21 and RPK packed, Perka-Colas were Quick Revive, Jugger-nog, Stamina Up and PhD Flopper... going for the trophy for freeing the original characters... completed the third step for the solo trophy and did this gorgeous dive off the stairs into the middle of a mass of zombies and... the damned perk chokes, doesn't go off and the zombies just danced all over me. Sure, I had 30k points and it was my first death and I could have just run back and repurchased all my perks but I was so pissed at the choke I just quit out. :(

^ Awesome.

Still not playing anything. I'm starting to worry. Is something wrong with me?

Maybe I can get at least a chapter of Dead Space in tonight.

^ Really? Most people seem to prefer I2. I liked them about equally.

I got Portal 2 yesterday so I started playing that. Is it just me, or is it really easy? I got to test chamber 15 (out of 22) in about an hour and a half.

I thought the story was a little lame, actually. All of the "twists" I saw coming from a mile away. I dunno...I enjoyed the gameplay, but story felt a little too disconnected from the first one for me to care all that much about what was going on.

^ Yeah I can understand that. Most of the story was sort of... meh. But towards the end, I realized that I really like these two characters (Cole and Zeke). And the good ending was quite heartbreaking.

Oh, I think those two characters are great. Unfortunately, I figured the ending out very early into the game. I was hoping they would surprise me and have it end some other way.

Well I'm taking a break from StarCraft II until Protoss gets a buff, so I need something else to do. Time to go chip away at my lifelong project that is Battletoads.
