yeah I'm far from a Witcher expert but I'd say that sounds about right
Ok, good to know. I wasn't sure as it felt odd that there was such a gap in levels so early in the game.

Old code. I run it with an Amiga emulator... It's not even PC initially!
I wish QTE events would die a fiery death though. Why do they keep insisting on fucking QTE events in games? Why can't we just use our regular weapons and leave it at that?
I think there are certain cases where QTEs work well, but otherwise, yeah. They're way overused and overly simplify things and often come across as just lazy design. The worst for me was at the end of Uncharted 3. I loved Uncharted 2's boss battle. It was challenging, but it was rewarding. So, when it came to Uncharted 3's ending, I was let down by the fact that the final action bit was done via QTE and an easy one at that. It felt so anticlimactic. How can you do that to a player? You work them up over the course of a game and they get invested in it, and it's only fair that the player would want to feel like that investment in their time was worth the endgame goal. The QTE was akin to saying "Well, uh... you got this far. Screw you!"
Ugh, yeah that does sound pretty bad. It's a shame since the first reboot game was showing such promise.
Precisely.
There's a stupid fight with a jaguar in Shadow which you have to go left right with the direction keys really fast and then Lara stabs the Jaguar with her knife anyway it's a fucking stupid design as once the QTE ends you have to then dance around a small area as the jaguar gets up and tries to run around attacking you. So you have to shoot it with arrows or whatever weapon you have. It's stupid design.
