What games are you playing currently?

Yoshi's New Island. Something I bought for Christmas in 2015, but hadn't really gotten around to playing it much until now.

It is, and it's a lot of fun. You can explore, trade, haul passengers, become a pirate, there are many options, and they even give you your own ship to start. From there, it's up to you. :D

it sounds fun.

Have you or anyone else here played the original Elite from the 80s?

I remember playing a wire frame game called Starion. That was quite good fun.

It is fun, and yes, I remember the Elite games. My computer couldn't handle them back then, what with all of their amazing graphics and such. :D

Another run at Mad Max for the Xbox One. It isn't overly complex, but I just love the gameplay mechanics and it is beautiful.

Played a bit more of Witcher 2 last night. I also picked up Velvet Assassin in the steam sale.
I just got that via another forum through Gog. They had a spare key. I have the first Witcher that I got via a secret Santa on Steam. Going to work through that and then delete it off to free up space so I can play through the second one.

Played some more BOTW recently, ran into another Stone Talus... but it's on a small island and I wasn't able to battle it well. Got back to a previous save, marked where he was and left. Also saw a Black Hinox, beat down some bad guys in the Lanayru area, basically Lizalfos and that kind of thing. Tried facing off against a regular Guardian earlier last night and got in a couple of leg hits, but those things are fast.

Finally beat one of the test shrines -- 'A Minor Test of Strength'. Found out that I have to shoot the mini Guardian in the eye to take it out when it puts up a barrier (was able to get some practice against a stationary Guardian over at the Ja Baji shrine area -- took out two of them, one that way and with Remote Bombs and one via Remote Bombs and hitting it with a Iron sledge hammer). So now I know how to beat another tough shrine. And back in the Lanayru section, I ran into a BAD storm and it kept on trying to zap me. Took out two pines in the process. I figured a dragon had to be nearby or something.

The very first Witcher had kind of awkward combat. Other than that it was a fun game.

Oh and the "romance scenes" now that was hilarious.

Although I completed the GTA5 story mode ages ago, I loaded it up again to try GTA Online again as it now has some decent racing missions and I'm enjoying it so much more than I used to. I seem to have discovered that I'm pretty good at Tiny Racers (think Micro Machines but more explosive) but I'm enjoying the various style of stunt races too even though I usually get my butt kicked.

Yeah, I've had Witcher 1 for years, but not got far into it due to the combat. Witcher 3 was great and 2 looks promising so far.

It's actually really good fun if you can get past the combat. When you get to romance a woman it's hilarious how the game does it. I won't spoil it.

I've had 1 & 2 for years but never got around to finishing them, Hell I could barely start Witcher 2 since for some reason I just can't get to grips with the combat system. Seriously, the first fight, I climb own into that courtyard and got murdered to death by the same base level goons like 20 times in a row!
Got a fair way with Witcher 1 though, just past the first propper town and into the swamp...and then I seemed to hit a massive difficulty wall.

Well, I was stuck for a little while on the second. (I evidently could click fast enough to load the ballista but everytime I came to aim it, got interupted). Finally managed it though. The boxing may be an issue later, but the first couple of scraps have been alright. (On the other hand, for me, going through the sword play has been fine).

I'm also currently stuck on Wolfenstein: The New Order, but I think I'm close to the end. I'll give that a break and come back to it as sometimes when I do that, I just fly past the difficult point with no trouble.

I decided to try the first episode of the Telltale Batman game. I'm not sure it's really my style, but I'll see. Need to head back to the Arkham series too.
