What games are you playing currently?

I can lend you my physical copy (XBONE) since I won't use it, had it preordered for Collection Purposes(tm) but I also got the EA Access discounted digital preorder/preload version
A kind offer, but you are aware you might lose it in the Brexit negotiations, aren't you?

Star Trek Online and Gravity Rush 2.

In approximately two weeks, I will be playing Persona 5 continuously until I either hate it or they release Persona 4/P4G and/or Persona 3 FES for the PlayStation 4 store.

Jedi Outcast. It's weird returning to an old favourite after so long a time. I've found that I've forgotten most of it, yet there are some parts that I remember quite clearly from back when. I don't remember having so much trouble navigating the game, though. Some of the level design can be very confusing, but I think that's more of a sign of how much design philosophies have changed over the years. That and I've gotten older and feel more obtuse, and I've run around the first few levels wondering what I needed to next when it was much clearer to my younger self. Then again, the FPS genre is not one I play very often anymore. It means that I'm finding it much more difficult and the puzzles aren't coming to me as naturally as they once did.

Had a lot of fun with that (and Academy) back in the day:)

Yeah, they're a lot of fun. I have it running in widescreen with a graphics mod and the advanced lightsaber mode, so things look great. It just made me realize how much gamers tend to put up with sometimes. Some of these levels, especially the early ones, can be quite brutal. Like, how is raining grenades down directly from above any fair? You often don't see them until you're in their line of sight, which by that time is almost always already too late.

On the PS3 side of things, I'm enjoying Assassin's Creed 3 quite a bit. See, I came to the series a bit late. I had heard a friend gushing about this series, but for some reason, it never particularly got my interest until much later. A few years ago, I picked up the first game, which was kind of rough, and I had a hard time with it seeing how repetitive it was, and I shelved it for awhile. Then I returned to it and really got into it and beat it. I think being in the mood for it has a lot to do with it. The next one was Black Flag, which I really enjoyed. Then recently I bought two of the combo packages including the previous games (Ezio trilogy, America collection) and Rogue.

I'd heard some not so great things about the third game, so I guess I wasn't expecting much. But there's a lot that this game does very well. I like the fact that it's a sort of origin story, where Connor tries to forge his path in life and figure out how he can fit in with a world that is full of change. I don't think that theme is one that is often visited in this series, and I feel that's what makes this game feel unique to me. I also love exploring the Frontier. It gives you a certain feeling of freedom. In terms of how alive the world feels with its wildlife, I feel it reminds me a lot about the hunting done in Red Dead Redemption. It's got a similar scope to it that you really don't see in my other games. I think the only other game I know that does this is GTA5. And yes, I say that even after having played Black Flag.

I just bought and started playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, I'm only a 2 or 3 hours into and it's been a blast so far. When I watched one of the trailers yesterday I thought Edward sounded familiar, so I checked IMDB and it turns out he's voiced by the Arrowverse and the animated Justice League Dark movie's Constantine, Matt Ryan.

I've been kind of stuck on Witcher 3. Not stuck in the sense of cannot progress, but stuck in the sense of I finished it and immediately started a second playthrough. I haven't really wanted to play anything else. This is the first time I've ever gotten all of the achievements for a game.

I'm going to try to get into ME:A, though. I spent an hour or so yesterday trying to make Ryder look like Ciri, and failed miserably.

Played the first hour of Resident Evil: bioshock yesterday. Vast improvement over recent entries in the RE series but they really need to stop with the save points and just allow on the fly saving.

I planned on getting away from Witcher 3 by playing 2 - but then other games kicked in and now Andromeda is on the download so I know that will be taking over from everything. At the rate it's going though, I'll probably start it tomorrow.

^Yeah, I did that too. Played 2 through on Dark until the final boss kicked my ass a few too many times and I got sick of climbing that tower over and over again. Knocked it down to easy and then it became just about impossible to die.

But when I was playing ME:A yesterday I kept holding down left trigger to use witcher senses and accidentally drawing my gun lol

Playing a lot of Zelda BOTW, probably more hours than it warrants due to 1) my (lack of) skill level 2) trying to figure out on my own 3) exploring a lot and doing side quests rather than outright trying to finish it.

Everybody I know is playing Andromeda, but from what I've seen and heard about its issues, I think that's a "wait for updates and a price drop" for me.

In the meantime, I've been replaying Halo CE in the MCC, trying to find all the skulls and terminals. And by find I mean use IGN as a guide because I am too old at this point to wander aimlessly looking for that shit on my own. Also just dipped into Reach. I see the potential there.

^ Yeah I'm also gonna wait a while before I get Andromeda. Once they patch some of the problems and the price drops to like $20, then I'll buy it.

Anyway, I got the Horizon: Zero Dawn platinum trophy last night. Man what an amazing game. :D

I got sick of Heavy Rain (after failing a baby rocking mini game three times I started to question why I was playing a game that is 80% using controller gimmicks for mundane activities), so I'm just playing Dishonored on mPS3 right now. When I played it a few years ago I got the stealth/mostly non-lethal good guy run, so now I'm doing a lethal run, and its pretty fun so far.

I also got a few very cheap DS games from Gamestop, so I'll have Magnetica and Brain Age 2 to mess with, along with Enchanted Arms (on PS3) when I finish Dishonored.

Oh, Heavy Rain, haha. Yeah, that game is rather annoying, particularly when you're crawling through the broken glass! I'd rather have a straight adventure game with that story. I think that particular gameplay only ends up hurting what would otherwise be a fun game.

I finally got the Far Cry: Primal platinum yesterday. I also got the platinum for The Little Acre over the weekend.
