what ever happened to of gods and men?

I worked on the FX with a terrific crew. We've been waiting for this day for a REALLY long time. I know everyone else has too. (The nickname Star Trek: Forever still makes me giggle.) So I hope everyone likes it.

"I am about to have a heart attack and die from NOT surprise!" - Iago, Aladdin (1992)

Ah well. I'm sure there's frustrated smart people scurrying to get it fixed.

That was cool. Despite being a cameo-fest, the story remained central and the dramatic tension kept me engaged. Great work "Of Gods and Men"!

DVD burn

I got it to DVD by:
- View source, find the file with the .flv extension
- load that file into FireFox, and it will ask you if you want to download the file
- download the .flv file to your PC
- use freeware program "DVD Flick" to burn a DVD from the .flv file

I'm sure there are many more ways. This worked for me and is totally free.

Re: DVD burn

Just watched the first part there and I thought it was brilliant. Did anyone else have problems with the full screen function cause when I tried it, the video froze but the audio kept going and it had the text that says Press Esc to exit full screnn in the center of the video screen. I assume it might be a buffer thing but the video doesn't seem to move at all in full screen.

One other thing, not sure if we're allowed to nitpick already but when Charlie went through the Guardian shouldn't Harriman, Uhura and Checkov have stayed on the Planet as the planet is shielded against changes in the timeline instead of being integrated (I assume that's what happened to them) into there present alternate selves? I thought that was established when McCoy accidentley changed the timeeline back in the episode City on the Edge of Forever.

Also why was the new Constitution Class Enterprise (in the oriinal timeline) designated as the Enterprise-M when, if it's only 2306, the Enterprise-B should still be around?

Re: DVD burn

The Ent-B was in the beginning with the museum ship. It was dropping Harriman off.

Yeah, I agree. That "small detail" frankly ruins the whole thing for me, as it totally changes the previously established "rules" for the thing.

Damn. I really wanted to like this, but such a basic ignorance of canon is a major annoyance.
