Sorry for the thread bump, but Rachael Ancheril just tweeted that Nhan WILL be back for Season 3. Fortunately she did not have to sign a Nhan-disclosure agreement.

Apparently Barzans don't take too well to time travel, though. RA just posted a current pic of Nhan - apparently the time jump has caused her to age rapidly. Hopefully they'll fix it!

Supposedly time travel doesn't agree well with the Barzaan

Now considering they have transporters I wonder if they can fiddle with that to de-age her.

Because that's what the writers want... Maybe she or her world contacted the Federation prior to TNG I find no issue there

The same way that Saru was able to join Starfleet despite the Kelpians not being a warp-capable society; she left Barzan by herself somehow and ended up joining Starfleet.

It's not that hard to figure out.
